He has gone against their expectations by starring in Mulher-Maravilha (2017) in the DC Extended Universe, which is the main rival to Marvel.

In April 2009, along with several of the cast and crew, he visited Camp Arijan in Kuwait to show Star Trek (2009) to a group of US service members.

Dorn is most notable as the Klingon officer Worf on Jornada nas Estrelas: A Nova Geração (1987), Jornada nas Estrelas: Deep Space Nine (1993) and four Star Trek feature films.
