From Call the Midwife to Julian Fellowes' Downton Abbey, the world loves a British drama series. However, one that might've gone under many radars since its 2022 debut is The Teacher, an anthology drama from creators Mike Benson and Barunka O'Shaughnessy. With the talented Sheridan Smith and Kara Tointon leading the first two seasons, not only has the show now been confirmed for an exciting third, but the announcement has finally been made, revealing who will be taking up the lead role for Season 3, and The Crown fans will certainly be pleased.
Officially, as cited via Radio Times, the brilliant Victoria Hamilton will be taking up the latest leading role in The Teacher, following on from her stints as The Queen Mother in The Crown, Anna Baker in the critically acclaimed Doctor Foster, and most recently in ITV's beloved mystery series Unforgotten, with this newest role very similar to her last.
