Of Irish descent from his father's side and German from his mother's.

Son of artists Guggi and Sibylle Ungers. Has an older half-brother from his father's side, engineer Moses Rowen. In addition, he has two other older brothers, Noah, and Elijah Rowen, and a younger one, Gideon Rowen.
