Has two sisters.

Appeared as a Honda executive on Mad Men, sitting at a conference table with creative director Don Draper. In real life, Keisuke's father was a "mad man" in 1960s New York, working in the advertising and graphic design fields in offices on Madison Avenue.

Keisuke's father Jitsuo started as a manga artist with Shogakukan in Tokyo; studied typography and graphic design with Osamu Tezuka in Kobe, Japan; and immigrated to America from Japan in the 1960s, where he soon became the Promotion and Corporate Art Director of Esquire, Inc.

In 1979, Jitsuo founded Hoashi Studio, Inc. (later Hoashi Communications Inc.) on Madison Avenue in NYC. His wife Tomoe later joined him as the firm's CFO.

Suffered a minor sword wound while shooting a commercial on location in Segovia, Spain.

Holds a Masters Degree in Technical Communication with a Graphics Certificate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY.

BA English Writing from Potsdam College, State University of New York. Award for Excellence in Journalism. Graduated only one credit short of earning a second BA in Music.

Attended the New York State Music Camp NYSMC 1982-1984 as a trumpet player. Twenty years later, was invited to join the faculty of the camp (renamed the Hartwick College Summer Music Festival and Institute HCSMF&I) as their new Musical Theater instructor. Added new courses in Acting and Filmmaking for the first time in the camp's history, which began in 1947.

Whitney" in "Anything Goes," a Mohawk Indian in "Hearts of Fire," and "Mr. Thomson" in "1776," as part of the "90 Miles off Broadway" theatre company in New Paltz, NY. In 2004 he appeared with John Stuart Wildman and Phil Lamaar in the sketch comedy show "A Life in the Theatre and Beyond," in which he played every ethnicity and race except Asian.

Produced more than 100 short films and 20 original one-act musicals as a summer music festival instructor. All works were written, directed, composed, and filmed by students as young as 10 years of age.

In 2005, Keisuke co-founded the New York Summer Music Festival (NYSMF), a music camp for middle- and high-school students. He served as the Director of Communications until 2013. His duties included corporate identity, graphic design, website design and coding; database programmer, administrator, and analyst; Resident Actor, Faculty Instructor, Teacher of classes in acting, filmmaking, and original musical theatre production; staff and counselor training, head of media production, official camp videographer & photographer; liaison with Yamaha Orchestral Instruments, the Oneonta Outlaws (previously Oneonta Tigers) baseball team, and official Voice of the Camp.
