Alexandra Holzer: Vampires 'Turn' Into More Than Humans... They Turn Into Mafia Hitmen! (Photos) (Video)
Kirsten Vangsness in Vampire Mob (2010)
Vampire Mob is an indie TV series which is audience-funded. Yep. We enter the age of crowd-funding and audience participation financially before we can get to good ol' Hollywood. The times... they are a'changin'. Vampire Mob is an indie comedy series about Don Grigioni (played by John Colella), a mafia hitman who thought he had the solution to his problems, who becomes a vampire. After biting his wife Annie, (played by Reamy Hall) who then bites her mother, Virginia (played by Marcia Wallace) Don's problems get worse when his mother-in-law moves in -- for eternity. It's written, directed and edited by award-winning filmmaker Joe Wilson with whom I had the bloody pleasure of interviewing. He tried to bite me but, alas, was a gentlemen and allowed me to leave the room still human. Darn. I was hoping for my 'Twilight' moment.

Alexandra Holzer: You've turned the bloody hot topic of...

Indie Web Series Vampire Mob Back For Season 2
Kirsten Vangsness in Vampire Mob (2010)
Award winning filmmaker Joe Wilson brings us Vampire Mob, an indie web series showcasing a hitman vampire forced to live with his mother-in-law, for eternity. The series is completely independent, getting its money strictly through audience donations; they raised over $10,000 in order to create their story.

“After losing all our money on Kickstarter, we raised the budget of $10,000 on our own site and got to make a story – no network, no company, no FCC, no sponsor – nothing to fuck it up! Just people helping people tell a story. We shot an 80-page script with 23 actors, and I’ve never worked harder making a project happen than this one! We also worked with fight choreographers Jan Bryant and Dan Speaker, who have worked on Hook, Master and Commander, and Army of Darkness.”

Among the cast members in the show are Emmy winning actress Marcia Wallace (The Simpsons) and Tony winner Rae Allen...

Web Series Vampire Mob - A Totally Indie Effort - Returns for Season 2
It was back in the summer of 2010 that we first reported on Joe Wilson's web series Vampire Mob, and now we've heard from Joe that Season Two has begun with six episodes already available, including “Dinner for Six” with cast members Kirsten Vangsness ("Criminal Minds"), Emmy winner Marcia Wallace ("The Simpsons") and Tony winner Rae Allen ("The Sopranos").

The road hasn't always been a smooth one for writer/director/editor Wilson, who told us, "After losing all our money on Kickstarter, we raised the budget of $10,000 on our own site and got to make a story - no network, no company, no FCC, no sponsor - nothing to fuck it up! Watch Episode # 1 Of The New Web Series 'Vampire Mob'
Vampire Mob is the latest of many new new web series I was telling y'all about a while back. Episode one debuted back on June 30th and is part of a six episode first season. There's a catch to when you'll get to see episode two. The folks behind this cool web series are determining each episodes release on the amount of clicks the previous one gets. So in this case when episode one reaches the predetermined 5,000 views they will release episode two, you got it? Good!

Vampire Mob was created, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker and comedian Joe Wilson, assistant director John Vargas and stars John Colella, Reamy Hall, Marcia Wallace, Kirsten Vangsness, Chris Mulkey, Jim Roof, Andrea Cansler, Cris D’Annunzio, and Elizabeth Beckwith.

Synopsis:

Vampire Mob follows Don Grigioni, a hitman and vampire, who just found out his mother-in-law is moving in ... for eternity. Don became...

Watch Episode One of Vampire Mob
"Vampire Mob" isn't your typical web series. Instead of having a regularly spaced calendar release, it's being distributed on a view count basis, which means subsequent installments will be posted as previous episodes reach their predetermined view count. The series premiered online on June 30th, and once it has obtained 5,000 views, then Episode Two will be posted.

“Vampire Mob” follows Don Grigioni, a hitman and vampire, who just found out his mother-in-law is moving in ... for eternity. Don became a vampire because “it was a good fit” for his nocturnal life of crime. He never planned on biting his wife, Annie, and making her immortal, “but then I got hungry.” Annie felt bad that her mom would die one day and bit her, never discussing it with Don, and now mom needs a place to stay and blood to drink. With Don’s hit business slowing down, the last thing...

‘The Web.Files’ Bites Into ‘Vampire Mob’
On this week’s episode of The Web.Files, host Kristyn Burtt takes another trip down the red carpet with the cast and crew of Vampire Mob. Created by Joe Wilson, the series stars John Colella, Reamy Hall and comedy legend Marcia Wallace. As stated in the interview, the inspiration for the series came to Wilson while he was working as a private investigator on a mob related case at which point he realized vampire and mobster go together like peanut butter and vampires. Who knows? If the series is a hit then it could spawn a number of copycat vampire hybrid stories. Vampire cowboy, vampire Pilates instructor, vampire actor (wait, they already did that one), the possibilities are endless...
