She had at least one child. A Son.

According to her son, Peggy got her break when she won a contest that brought her to Hollywood to test to become part of the "Our Gang" bunch. She was with them for many episodes. When she got to be too old for "Our Gang" she developed a stage act where she played the guitar and sang.
