Was the subject of an article in the New York Times and a related video report on Times website in which he narrated stories about the seven times (as of June 2009) he has played characters who have died on screen. They include A Loss of Innocence (1996) , Ameaça Submarina (2005) , Oz (1997) , and Lei & Ordem: Unidade de Vítimas Especiais (1999). Doyle said that during his first on-screen death, in A Loss of Innocence (1996) , he was mortified to notice, while watching the finished movie, after his character is supposed to be dead, his eye still twitched a bit. After that, he always died with his eyes open.

Appeared as a featured guest in two different first-run, prime-time TV shows on the same night, Wednesday April 14th, 2010: Mentes Criminosas (2005) at 9:00pm (EDT) on CBS and Testemunha Ocular (2008) at 10:00pm (EDT) on the USA Network.
