At one time she was touted as the next Jane Russell.

She was signed to a movie contract by Warner Bros. while still in high school. Howard Hughes met her at a party on board his yacht when she was 15 and bought her contract.

Her last name was properly pronounced "Dah-mure," but was often mispronounced "Dommer-gue."

Adopted at six weeks old. Her parents never told her she was adopted.

She spoke French, Spanish and Italian well.

Children with Hugo Fregonese: Diana Maria (b. 1/1/49), and John Anthony (8/22/1951-6/16/2018. John was co-principal of the urban planning firm Fregonese Associates (Portland, OR). His widow now acts as president of the firm, and their son, an urban planner and geographer, is a principal. He died on what would have been his mother's 94th birthday.

She worked in movies and television, but regretted never having done any theater.

According to a short new bit in Utah's Parowan Times (7 July 1950, Page 2) Faith said that her surname rhymed with "berg," so it would be pronounced "Domerg". That would be a slightly Americanized pronunciation of the original French name (she was from New Orleans), which would have been pronounced more like "Domairg". Whether her family had already Americanized the pronunciation by the time she was born, or whether she was simplifying the pronunciation for her fans on the eve of the release of her first major film, is (over 70 years later) hard to determine.

In the early 1930s her family moved to California, where she took piano and singing lessons.

From late 1930s-early 1940s lived across the street from Helen Talbot and her family, on S. Carmelina Avenue in Brentwood, CA. They were also in the same class at University High School in West Los Angeles.
