Gave birth to her 1st child at age 45, a son Dashiell Clunie-Singer (b. January 5, 2015). Child's father is her close friend, Bryan Singer.

Has been friends with Bryan Singer since 1989 and they were in a short romantic relationship. They have a son together.

She was cast separately from her Jason Vai para o Inferno: A Última Sexta-Feira (1993) co-star Michael B. Silver. It turns out they already knew each other by the time they got to the set; they had dated for years and had just broken up a year before shooting, and had no idea the other was cast in the opposite role.

Comes from a family of writers - her brother's a writer and her mother's cousin, Jim Cash, wrote many of the big blockbuster hits from the 1980s, including Top Gun.

Was mentored by the late Beverly Hills Playhouse founder Milton Katselas whom she credits for encouraging her to take risks and tackle complex characters.
