Bachelorette Ashley Hebert should have listened to her friend about contestant Bentley Williams. He’s on the show for all the wrong reasons!

“I spoke to a past contestant and they made me aware that somebody that’s coming on the show is here for not a good intention,” Ashley tells host Chris Harrison before the limos arrive. “His name is Bentley. Apparently he’s coming on the show to promote his job. It might not be true.”

But Ashley has an open heart. “I want to give this guy the benefit of the doubt,” she continues. “You have to give people the chance. I’m going to pretend like I didn’t hear anything.”

The Bachelorette is back, and dare we say it, better than ever?

It's not that this is groundbreaking reality TV. In fact, it's one of the older reality franchises still around. But ABC seems to be embracing its cheesiness, knowing what fans respond to and running all-out with it at this point.

From the deliberate overuse of certain phrases - i.e. "here for the wrong reasons" - to montages introducing our Bachelorette (and her suitors) designed to tug at your heartstrings and blurring the line between reality and scripted drama, the show is hitting its stride once again.

It doesn't hurt that the Bachelorette herself is so much fun.

What a welcome relief from that robotic stiff Brad Womack to see someone so genuine, outgoing and comfortable with herself in the driver's seat. She really is great.

You may find Ashley Hebert a little annoying at times, but she's nothing if not genuine.

One of these 25 guys may in fact be ‘The Bachelorette’ Ashley’s future husband!

Bachelor Brad Womack may have not wanted to give 27-year-old dental student Ashely Hebert his final rose, but now she has the chance to give out her own. The Bachelorette returns to ABC on May 23!

From an attorney to a hairstylist to a dentist — Ash has a bunch of guys to choose from. And this is only half of the group!

Ashley Hebert felt very unlucky in the love department when Brad Womack sent her packing on The Bachelor. But now that she’s getting her own chance at love as ABC’s new Bachelorette, Ashley can’t complain about not meeting some decent men! On March 15, filming for the season started at the Bachelor/Bachelorette mansion in Los Angeles and Ashley met 25 eligible men.
