2024 delivered an incredible lineup of horror films, including A Quiet Place: Day One, Abigail, Alien: Romulus, Heretic, MaXXXine, Trap, Smile 2, The Substance and Nosferatu. Yet, one movie from last year truly rose above the rest. That film is Longlegs, starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage. After leaving theaters, fans eagerly waited for its arrival on streaming. Now, that day is finally here.

Longlegs is now available to stream, but not for everyone. On Jan. 8, 2025, the smash-hit horror film became available to watch on Prime Video but only in select locations. Those locations are Prime Video in the U.K. and Ireland. With only these two locations having access at the moment, this leaves fans outside those regions in suspense. They're stuck having to resort to alternative methods to watch the film.

For example, the only way people in the U.S. can watch Longlegs is by renting or buying it on digital platforms.

Liam Neeson may have all the skills he needed to lead the Taken franchise to success across three movies that redefined his career, but many people are just discovering that this was just the beginning for the saga of Bryan Mills. The TV series prequel to the Taken franchise is currently streaming on Freevee and has debuted at the top of the streamer’s TV show chart.

The series, which was released in 2017 and stars Clive Standen in the lead role, tracks a younger Bryan Mills, showing how he became the man with the skills that everyone grew to love more than a decade earlier. A former Green Beret who experiences a personal tragedy, Mills' path is set when he becomes bent on revenge while moving into a deadly career as a CIA operative that will certainly come in useful years later.

The series received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

Mark Gatiss is known primarily for his role in the BBC’s modern adaption of Sherlock, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Gatiss played Mycroft Holmes in the adaptation created by former Doctor Who showrunner Stephen Moffat, with whom he co-wrote the series - and with whom he may be working on a revival.

Gatiss is known for his acting career, but he’s contributed heavily to British television with involvement in major shows such as already mentioned Sherlock, Dracula, and Doctor Who. Of the latter show, Gatiss has not returned to write for the sci-fi series since 2017, and now fans can know why, per Radio Times.

A new glimpse at Doctor Who's upcoming 2024 Christmas special "Joy to the World" has been unveiled by the BBC, teasing Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor facing a terrifying prehistoric threat. Set in a hotel full of time-travelling rooms, the adventure is penned by former showrunners Steven Moffat and follows the events of season 14. While Gatwa's Doctor will be travelling alone following him parting ways with Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), he will soon be joined by Bridgerton's Nicola Coughlan as guest companion Joy.

Longlegs is set in the 1970s and it follows the story of FBI Agent Lee Harker as she takes on an unsolved serial killer case, which develops in the most horrific ways as it shows some evidence that connects the murders to the occult. Exclusive: Great American Family is about to drop another installment of its Candace Cameron Bure Presents series. The movie is called Just in Time and stars Broadway’s Laura Osnes, Peter Bryant (Family Law), and Greyston Holt (The Night Agent).

Premiering March 26, Just in Time follows Hannah (Osnes) and her husband, Rowan (Holt), who have focused all their time, energy, and attention into trying to have a baby. The pressure to complete their family starts weighing heavily on their relationship. The couple is left questioning if having a child is the right thing to do and if they are still right for one another. When Hannah receives a call from a stranger, named Franklin (Bryant), who claims to have discovered an antique on the beach bearing an inscription unique to Hannah and Rowan, she reluctantly agrees to meet him to look. Franklin is certain the watch is a long-lost heirloom from Hannah’s family.

Colter Shaw’s on the case of a student who goes missing on CBS’s Tracker season one episode four. After Noah, a student at Shelter Stone Academy for troubled teens, missed his weekly call with his mom Erika (Marley Shelton), she became worried. Fortunately, she’s friends with Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene) and Reenie knows just the right guy to help find her missing son.

The school won’t give Erika any info, but Colter (Justin Hartley) promises to find out what’s going on. He’s already learned it’s a gated campus with lots of security and a policy of not being open about activities within its boundaries. Erika believes her son is doing great right now but confesses this place was his last chance. He has a problem with drugs.

The crew runs into trouble while fighting a fire on CBS’s Fire Country season one episode three. Directed by Eagle Egilsson from a script by David Gould, episode three – “Where There’s Smoke…” – will air on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 9pm Et/Pt.

Starring Aimee Teegarden and Gail O'Grady, it's a story about a young woman at the start of a successful career who makes a fatal mistake.

It's not the kind of movie we're used to seeing on the network. It's deep and emotional and nuanced, navigating trauma and its aftermath.

In casting news, TV Guide has reported that Brad Dourif (Fringe, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) has been cast as “a beggar who befriends the evil Rumpelstiltskin.” Hopefully he’ll be able to look less creepy than when he was playing Wormtongue. Playing opposite Robert Carlysle as Rumpelstiltskin, maybe the two of them will be vying for Creepiest in All the Land.

AMC's brilliant but glacially paced "The Killing," has just aired its 7th episode, which means it's slightly past the halfway point of the season, and while the prime suspect in the murder of Rosie Larsen has shifted, it's still way too early to identify the killer. But that won't stop us from trying.

If you're not watching "The Killing," do so. It's slow moving, grim, and immensely frustrating, but it's also one of the better shows on television right now, a program that will hopefully reward our patience. It's a nifty whoddunit, a murder-mystery stretched out into 13 episodes so that it's more like a televised novel than "CSI." It takes us not only into the murder investigation, but how it affects the family of the victim, a political campaign that's wrapped up in the investigation, and the private life of Detective Sarah Linden.
