Writer-showrunner Liz Sarnoff (Lost) has signed an overall deal with Universal Cable Productions.

Sarnoff, who has been switching between drama and comedy, is currently writing for the second season of HBO’s comedy series Barry. For her work on the first season of the breakout hit, Sarnoff received an Emmy nomination for writing the ‘Loud, Fast, and Keep Going.’ episode. She also is expected to share in Barry‘s best comedy series nomination.

Sarnoff recently created and executive produced the TNT pilot Highland starring Margaret Cho and directed by Nisha Ganatra. I hear the project is currently being shopped by Tomorrow Studios and has been getting interest, with Ucp poised to come on board as co-producer if it’s picked up.

Unsolved creator Kyle Long has signed an overall deal with Universal Cable Productions, the studio behind the critically praised USA Network series, to develop and produce premium scripted content for cable and streamers.

The first potential series developed under the deal will be an adaptation of Kris Radish’s book Run, Bambi Run, with Long set to write and executive produce. The book follows the true story of Lawrencia “Bambi” Bembenek, a former Milwaukee police officer, who was suing the department for sexual discrimination when she was arrested and eventually convicted for murdering her husband’s ex-wife. Bembenek insisted she was railroaded and after breaking out of prison became a national folk hero, inspiring the slogan “Run, Bambi, Run.”

Between evil authority figures conspiring like Wile E. Coyote attempting to rid the WWE Universe of the Road Runner that is Daniel Bryan and Kane resorting to abduction and hellfire to become the World Heavyweight Champion, it would appear as though WWE has rebooted 1998′s favorite storyline tropes in an attempt to re-create Daniel Bryan as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The latest in this line of out-sized and completely absurd developments came on Sunday night as in his title match at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, Bryan used a forklift with attached pallet to carry an unconscious Kane back to ringside (from backstage where they had been brawling). As the pallet was lifted ten feet into the air and Kane was dropped to the mat, Bryan then mounted the forklift, stood atop the now empty pallet and executed a swan dive headbutt onto the “Devil’s Favorite Demon.”

Thq announced at WWE SummerSlam Axxes yesterday the complete roster for WWE 13, officially unveiling the 42 Modern Era Superstars, 8 WWE Divas and 34 Attitude Era Superstars & Divas – along with the extra downloadable content characters that will be included in the game. That’s 87 superstars in total, which is the biggest rosters of stars in any wrestling game in history and no doubt there’ll be more Dlc Superstars made available before and after the game’s release.

The roster ended up being more or less what we had anticipated and there were very few surprises. Sadly however there were a few names we hoped would be in the game that were overlooked, the likes of Tyson Kidd (who was criminally in last year’s WWE 12 but was overlooked this year despite a small push this summer), Tensai, William Regal (who should always be in every single WWE game), Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins,...

Thq will reveal the full roster for WWE 13 this Saturday, August 18th at WWE SummerSlam Axxes in Los Angeles – ahead of WWE SummerSlam on Sunday.

WWE.com will be putting out a live stream tomorrow at 1.30pm Pdt (which is 6.30pm UK time) with a WWE ’13 Roster Reveal Pre-Show, presented by IGN. Then at 2pm (7pm UK time) comes the full roster reveal, so you don’t need to be in La to see how everything goes down.

Dubbed “the largest roster in WWE Games history” we are expecting anywhere between 74-86 wrestlers to be revealed, a large chunk of which will be Attitude Era stars.
