After a perennial interruption he returned to the big screen. In the meanwhile the silent movie was replaced by the sound film.

Arthur Bergen and his wife were deported to the concentration in camp in 1943 where both were murdered.

At the beginning of the 20s he took part again in a number of productions before his engagements in front of the camera diminished.

He entered the film business in 1913.

The actor Arthur Bergen began his artistic career as an actor at the Hoftheater in Meiningen in 1894. It followed engagements which also led him to Berlin.
