Brother George died when Art was 12 from a drug overdose, and has been the subject in some of Everclear's music.

Has a daughter named Annabella Rose Alexakis, born 1993.

From 2002 to the fall of 2004 hosted his own radio show "Blackjack Radio" on 94.7FM KNRK in Portland, Oregon.

Before Everclear, was in the bands 'Colorfinger' and 'The Easy Hoes'.

Released Everclear's 9th studio album "Black Is The New Black" in March 2015. The album marked a return to the heavier sound of Everclear's early albums.

Completed a 20th Anniversary "Sparkle & Fade" tour of Everclear's landmark album of the same name in the Fall of 2015. At each show the band played the album in its entirety for start to finish.

Relocated back to Los Angeles from Portland in 2010.

Currently touring and recording with Everclear, and plans to have a new album out by Spring 2006. Craig Montoya and Greg Eklund have left the band, and new musicians have been hired. (junho de 2005)
