According to Ray Romano, Patricia won the role of Debra on Raymond e Companhia (1996) because she was the only actress willing to kiss him at the auditions. It actually came down to a draw between her and Jane Sibbett - CBS liked Sibbett, but Romano preferred Patricia, who was much closer to how he pictured Debra, and the producers backed him up.

Auditioned for the role as Elaine Benes on the situation comedy Seinfeld (1989), which went to Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Has four sons with her husband David Hunt: Samuel David Hunt (born September 1, 1993), John Basil Hunt (born May 15, 1995), Joseph Charles 'Joe' Hunt (born June 2, 1997) and Daniel Patrick 'Dan' Hunt (born January 20, 1999).
