Even though her character Charlotte on "Sex and the City" (1998) was the first to get married, Kristin herself is the only one out of all four actresses never to have been married in real life.

Has two adopted children: daughter Gemma Rose Davis (adopted in 2011), and son Wilson Davis (adopted in 2018).

Her first film audition was for the role of Sarah Tobias in Acusados (1988). She was turned down by Jonathan Kaplan and the part went to Jodie Foster.

Enjoys a wide variety of music, from Dave Matthews, to Brazilian music, to Joni Mitchell-type folk music and even Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

She and her ex-boyfriend, Alec Baldwin, guest-starred on Will & Grace (1998) and Friends (1994), though not in the same episodes.
