Netflix's new smash hit with a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score has become the streaming service's second most-watched movie in history. Since 2021, Netflix's most-watched movie of all time has been Red Notice, sitting at 230.9 million views. However, the star-studded action-comedy featuring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot could be unseated by Netflix's new smash hit very soon.
Some of Netflix's most-watched movies of all time also include Carry-On (2024), an action thriller starring Taron Egerton, and Don't Look Up (2021), Adam McKay's star-studded political satire featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, and many more. Another Ryan Reynolds vehicle, The Adam Project (2022), also ranks within the top five.
Sandra Bullock's post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box (2018) still holds a place in the top 10, alongside newer sensations like Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz's action-comedy Back in Action (2025) and Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmai's star-studded apocalyptic thriller Leave the World Behind (2023), featuring Julia Roberts,...

One of the biggest things that Sandra says she and Jennifer have been able to support each other through is the fact that they’ve each had issues with stalkers.
“It makes me think, ‘Do I really have to go outside and navigate the world?’” Sandra said in Jennifer‘s Vanity Fair cover story. “There’s the cases where they got into the house, the cases where they’re outside the house, the cases where you’re on a film set and they figured out where you are, and the cases that no one hears about.

Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston both got their Hollywood starts in the late 1980s before skyrocketing as Hollywood mega-stars in the mid-’90s and 2000s. They even have the same breakthrough year. It was in 1994 when Bullock starred opposite Keanu Reeves in the blockbuster “Speed” and when Aniston debuted as Rachel Green on NBC’s “Friends.” And yet, it was only 15 years ago that they crossed paths and became friends. In a new Vanity Fair cover story on Aniston, the duo says that it was all by Hollywood’s design, more or less.
“We were from that time in the business where no one wanted the ladies to be friends—it was about pitting everyone against each other,” Bullock said. “We were told we weren’t supposed to do that—meaning like and respect and honor each other.”

Mere days after Collider exclusively previewed a new image of Matthew McConaughey in his upcoming thriller, The Lost Bus, one long-forgotten film from the star has returned to streaming nearly 30 years later. McConaughey stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) and Sandra Bullock (The Proposal) in A Time To Kill, the 1996 legal thriller following a young Mississippi lawyer who defends a black man who killed the two white men who sexually assaulted his preteen daughter. A Time To Kill had been absent from streaming for the last few months, but it was recently added to Paramount+ for all subscribers. The film earned solid scores of 67% from critics and 85% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, but it nearly quadrupled its $40 million budget by earning $152 million at the global box office.

Before he was purchasing a Welsh football club and taking them up the leagues or starring as everyone's favorite fourth wall-breaking superhero in the Deadpool trilogy, Ryan Reynolds was known mainly for his work in the rom-com genre. From 2005's Just Friends to 2008's Definitely, Maybe, Reynolds has proven himself to be a strong male lead, offering a great blend of comic timing and steamy chemistry.
The best of these noughties rom-coms from Reynolds came at the end of the decade with The Proposal, a brilliant enemies-to-lovers tale featuring Reynolds and Oscar winner Sandra Bullock. Sandra Bullock‘s Gravity had arguably one of the best cheeky nods to Apollo 13, the 1995 film starring Tom Hanks. Being a movie about space, the film starts right off with George Clooney’s character talking to Earth and stating, “Houston, I have a bad feeling about this mission”.
A voice from the intercom states, “Please expand”. In the movie, that voice belongs to the head of Mission Control in Houston, Texas. However, the voice over the intercom was actually Ed Harris’s. For those of you who may not know him, Ed Harris is an iconic actor who portrayed the role of White Team Flight Director Gene Kranz in the 1995 film Apollo 13.
Gene Kranz was responsible for safely bringing the three astronauts back, both in real life and in the Tom Hanks movie. The homage was a sweet gesture (and a genius on director Alfonso Cuarón‘s part...

Why Christopher Nolan Stopped Robin Project In Batman Trilogy ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
The Dark Knight changed the entire discourse of the superhero movies in the 2000’s. It was largely due to the man behind the lens, Christopher Nolan, whose direction did not just boost the fading image of the Batman, but paved the way for more darker and grounded comic book movies that followed.
Even when the studios were behind cinematic universes and crossover dreams, Nolan kept his focus tight where the Silent Guardian of Gotham was not part of a larger web. Nolan’s masterpiece had no cameos, or shared timelines and worst of all, endless sequels. It was simple- the franchise started and ended on his terms.

Which Film Does Sandra Bullock Regret Making? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Sandra Bullock doesn’t sugarcoat it: she still regrets being part of Speed 2: Cruise Control. In a chat about her new film The Lost City, where she teamed up with Channing Tatum, Bullock took a stroll down memory lane and admitted that her 1997 sequel to Speed is one project she wishes she could forget.
When TooFab asked about past films she was embarrassed by, Bullock didn’t hold back. “I have one no one came around to and I’m still embarrassed I was in. It’s called Speed 2,” she revealed. And honestly? She’s right. The film’s plot—a slow-moving cruise ship heading toward an oil tanker—is not exactly what you’d call thrilling.

Did you know, James Cameron‘s 1997 blockbuster, Titanic, almost starred Matthew McConaughey, until he allegedly lost out on the role of Jack Dawson? Well, turns out, the Interstellar actor was replaced with Leonardo DiCaprio after he refused to drop his Southern accent.
According to a newly revealed excerpt from late producer Jon Landau’s upcoming memoir, McConaughey gave an incredible audition and even won over Kate Winslet with “his presence and charm”, who had already been cast as Rose (via People). But things didn’t go so smoothly with director James Cameron.
When Cameron asked Matthew McConaughey to “try it a different way”, without the accent, the actor reportedly declined, saying, “No. That was pretty good. Thanks.” And just like that, McConaughey came inches close to playing Jack in Titanic, until losing the billion-dollar role over his accent.

“KPop Demon Hunters” made Netflix history during the week of July 28, becoming the streamer’s fourth most-watched English-language movie to date. In the seven weeks since its debut, the action musical secured 158.8 million views.
The animated movie from Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans has now been more widely watched in its first 90 days than Ryan Reynolds and Jennifer Garner’s “The Adam Project,” Sandra Bullock’s “Bird Box,” Cameron Diaz and Jaime Foxx’s “Back in Action,” Sam Esmail’s “Leave the World Behind,” Ryan Gosling’s “The Gray Man,” Millie Bobby Brown’s “Damsel” and Robert Rodriguez’s “We Can Be Heroes.” It also bumped “We Can Be Heroes” out of Netflix’s top 10 most popular English-language movies list.
And since the 90-day cutoff for “KPop Demon Hunters” won’t happen until mid-September, chances are high that ranking will only be going up, up, up.

Few stars were more synonymous with the glitz and glamor of Hollywood in the 1990s than Julia Roberts. There were better actresses around, such as Oscar-winner Jodie Foster, and plenty of other big hitters challenging for the limelight like Sharon Stone, Demi Moore, Sandra Bullock, and Meg Ryan. Despite this, Roberts still dominated the decade with her grace, style, and sheer charisma, seemingly unable to do any wrong (that dodgy Irish accent in "Mary Reilly" aside) between her massive breakthrough role in "Pretty Woman" and her only Oscar win to date for "Erin Brockovich."
Best known for illuminating the '90s rom-com boom, she was also captivating in glossy thrillers like "Sleeping with the Enemy" and "The Pelican Brief," and even managed to turn very mediocre flicks like "Dying Young" and "Something to Talk About" into commercial successes. One thing she has never been known for is the Western, and...

Clint Eastwood directed Angelina Jolie in one of his most somber movies, the 2008 crime drama Changeling. In the movie, Jolie plays Christine Collins, a woman who reunites with her missing son only to realize the latter is an impostor. It was inspired by true events and is based on the 1928 Wineville Chicken Coop murders.
The movie is an extremely tragic tale of a mother’s love for her son, with a twist of a serial killer, which makes it one of Eastwood’s most unique films. However, that might also be the reason it is one of Eastwood’s weakest films as a director. Instead, it needed David Fincher in the director’s chair, and here’s why.

Tom Holland has opened up about his career plans, potentially after Spider-Man, in an interview with GQ, and it involves straight-up comedies, a genre that dominated Hollywood bottom lines in the ’90s and 2000s.
I think I’d love to do a straight-up comedy,
Given Hollywood’s inclination toward spectacle releases, mostly involving IP entries and Cbm movies, comedies, especially rom-coms, have seen a decline in the mainstream landscape. Sandra Bullock, a dominating force in the genre, previously touched on its b-stardization and how it faded into obscurity during an interview with The New York Times.
Tom Holland Set His Sights on Comedies Post Spider-Man
While his Spider-Man features aren’t devoid of humor, these big-budget spectacle releases don’t scratch the itch for more genuine comedies, like those of rom-coms from the early 21st century. However, after his whole MCU shtick, Holland revealed that he’s eyeing to do some straight-up comedies.

The Ocean’s prequel seems alive and well as Twisters director Lee Isaac Chung is in talks to direct.
The Ocean’s prequel has been in development hell for quite a while now. It was originally rumoured in 2022 and said to be starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Since then, it’s been quiet on that front while a new Ocean’s sequel seems to be in the works separately with David Leitch potentially directing.
But the prequel doesn’t seem to be completely dead. Deadline now reports that Twisters director Lee Isaac Chung is circling the project. Robbie is still on producing duties for Warner Bros. via her LuckyChap company, but whether she’ll star, with or without Gosling, is still unclear.
We do know that there is a script and it’s written by Carrie Solomon. We probably won’t know anything else about the script for a good while as Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. is gearing up for another high-stakes job — and they’ve found the man to pull it off. Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind Minari and the recent box office hit Twisters, is in talks to direct the upcoming Ocean’s 11 prequel, according to a report by Deadline. Produced by LuckyChap and based on a script by Carrie Solomon, the new film is still in early development, and — in true Ocean’s fashion — plot details are being kept tightly under wraps. No cast deals are in place, and the studio is staying silent on whether the project will tie directly to the George Clooney-led trilogy or the all-female spin-off led by Sandra Bullock. What we do know: this marks a stylish shift in direction for the franchise, with Chung bringing his signature visual poetry and character-driven storytelling to a brand synonymous with charm, slick pacing, and big ensemble energy.

Lee Isaac Chung is in talks to direct the “Ocean’s” prequel.
The Oscar-nominated filmmaker has already shown impressive versatility, moving from the tender family drama “Minari” to the the big-budget disaster film “Twisters.” Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap is producing the Warner Bros. film. No cast has been set yet, but at one point there were reports that Robbie would reunite with her “Barbie” co-star Ryan Gosling on the heist flick.
The current script is by Carrie Solomon, who wrote the Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman rom-com “A Family Affair.” It is based on characters created by George Clayton Johnson and Jack Golden Russell. No word on the plot, but something tells us it will involve larceny, some double-crossing and a crack team of charming reprobates.
The “Ocean’s” trilogy starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts, and a spinoff, “Ocean’s 8,” featured Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway.

Sandra Bullock starred in the 1995 action thriller film The Net, directed by Irwin Winkler. It recently completed thirty years of release and has aged surprisingly well, given its depiction of the internet and all its pros and cons. As a result, The Net feels like a lost episode of Black Mirror.

Ahead of its premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in September, Lionsgate has debut the full-length official trailer for Aziz Ansari's upcoming feature directorial debut Good Fortune.
The film follows a well-meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel (Keanu Reeves), who meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker named Arj (Aziz Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist named Jeff (Seth Rogen). In an effort to show Arj that the life of wealth isn't all that it's cracked up to be, he swaps Arj's life with Jeff's and, as expected, chaos ensues as everything begins to unravel around them.
The film stars Keanu Reeves (John Wick; The Matrix), Seth Rogen (Superbad; This Is the End), Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation; Master of None), Keke Palmer (Nope; Hustlers), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve; Grey’s Anatomy), Sherry Cola (Joy Ride; Good Trouble), and Stephen McKinley Henderson (Dune; Fences).

Twenty-five years after it first made audiences laugh, cheer, and quote April 25th like it’s a national holiday, Miss Congeniality is returning to streaming—this time on Paramount+ starting August 1. The 2000 action-comedy remains one of Sandra Bullock’s most beloved roles, and it’s easy to see why. As Gracie Lou Freebush—yes, really—Bullock gave us an undercover FBI agent who could punch out any suspect in a bar fight but still didn’t know how to use a hairbrush.
She was a tomboy. She was aggressive. She ran red lights on her way to Starbucks and pounded punching bags in the Bureau gym. But when a terrorist threat targets the Miss United States pageant, Gracie is forced to go undercover—and into heels. What follows is one of the great comedic makeovers in film history, complete with a purple Hervé Léger dress, wine glass percussion, and a...

Last week on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Steve Buscemi — from… well, everything — revealed that long before he was famous, he often found himself in rooms with casting agents and directors unable to connect at all.
“I was always hot and cold,” Buscemi explained. “I never knew if I should wing it, cause sometimes I’d be good if I went in the room and I didn’t really prepare. And then, the next time I’d do it, I would fail.”
And Buscemi has auditioned for the best of the best — including “Rain Man” filmmaker Barry Levinson when he was working on the 1987 movie “Tin Men.” He decided he had to “really prepare” for the meeting. “And I studied the sides, the script, and went in there and did my reading… did my audition, and he looked at me and went, ‘That was really good. That’s really good,...

Months after Practical Magic debuted on HBO Max, where it instantly became a favorite among subscribers, the 1998 fantasy pic has found another streaming home. Starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as sisters Sally and Gilly Owens, it was released on October 16, 1998, and later landed on HBO Max on October 1, 2024, where it climbed to the #5 spot the following day. Even so, the film was not much of a success either critically or commercially, considering its worldwide earnings of $68.3 million against a $75 million budget and its rotten 26% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Despite flopping, the romantic drama has already received the sequel treatment, scheduled to premiere on September 18, 2026. As fans gear up for its arrival, Hulu plans to add the original to its platform starting August 1. The magical film will join numerous other classics also debuting on the same day, including 10 Things I Hate About You and another Bullock-starrer, 28 Days.

Keanu Reeves has parted ways with his longtime manager, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
The John Wick and Matrix star had been repped by Meredith Wechter at Range Media Partners. Insiders say Reeves has made multiple changes to how he runs his business and changing management was one of those decisions recently.
“Keanu is not only an exceptional talent but a one of a kind human being. I wish him well and I am so proud of the incredibly transformative work we have done together over the past nine years,” Wechter says.
Wechter joined Range this year from Michael Sugar’s management company Sugar23 and had previously been an agent at ICM and then WME. The managing partner’s client list at Range includes Josh Gad, Jeremy Strong, Diane Lane and Night Agent star Gabriel Basso, among many others.
On the agency side, Reeves is still repped by a team at WME,...

There are some things we know for certain: Practical Magic is getting a second life, and Lee Pace is one of the latest additions to the coven. Along with a few other new and returning faces, the Foundation actor will star next to Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, who are reprising their roles as the witchy Owens sisters. The 1998 original follows their characters, Gillian and Sally, as they deal with a family curse that destroys any chance they have at love. It was adapted from author Alice Hoffman’s book of the same name. The sequel movie’s exact plot details are still being kept under wraps, but according to producer Denise Di Novi, it will draw from Hoffman’s 2021 follow-up to Practical Magic, The Book of Magic. Though readers might be able to take a stab at which character Pace will be playing, the actor told TV Insider that...

Clint Eastwood won his second Best Director Academy Award for the 2004 sports drama Million Dollar Baby. However, actress Sandra Bullock had initially tried to launch the project with herself in the lead role before Eastwood came on board, and things changed rapidly.
I don’t know if they weren’t interested in female boxers, or whether they were just not interested in me playing a female boxer.
During an interview with The Times, Bullock spoke about the project’s early development and made the above statement, implying producers simply weren’t interested in her playing a female boxer. The project would later mark a retirement u-turn for Eastwood, and here is why the veteran returned to acting after Million Dollar Baby.

It is a difficult task to impress Roger Ebert, but that is exactly what Angelina Jolie has accomplished with her sensual serial killer mystery, Taking Lives. The 2004 film borrows every aspect of its plot from the formulaic thrillers of its genre, thus becoming a derivative and predictable movie without a unique identity of its own.
Despite the fact, Ebert, in his review, found himself thoroughly entertained by the film. Although it didn’t excel in ingenious screenplay and arresting cinematography, Taking Lives overcame the flaws in its script by delivering a constantly intriguing and evolving story that takes its viewers on a plot-hole-filled expedition to an equally predictable finale.
