Won Best Picture at The New York International Film and Video Festival for, A System Devoured aka Devoured.

The very first celebrity that Thomas had met was Fred "The Hammer" Williamson. Thomas' father use to take him out on Sunday mornings to do Father/son time, sometimes it was to the movies. This time it was to The Central park Zoo in NYC. When he met the action/sports Icon walking through the park. Thomas later reconnected with him at a convention. Which lead to writing a role for The Hammer in Check Point. The first "movie Star" he directed.

Worked with several members from the "Halloween franchise" in several of his films including a few who played - "Michael Myers".

Worked with Stephen Geoffreys (Fright Night, 976-Evil at Close Range) on four films.

Directed 2 legends from the Blaxploitation era- Mel Novak and Fred "The Hammer" Williamson who both appear in Check Point. Thomas' also appeared in two films that starred Mel Novak in Syndicate Smasher & Samurai Cop 2. (aka Revenge of the Samurai).

The Rack Pack and Check Point both have actors Davis Schifter and Darrell Rackley in them. Thomas' became friends with them both during his years living in Wilmington, NC. In fact, both films were shot in Wilmington long after Thomas relocated to the Hollywood, CA.

Worked with 2 actors who played the iconic Jason Voorhees in The Friday the 13th series- Kane Hodder (F13th 7-10 and The F13th Video Game) in his film "Check Point" and Steve Dash (F13th Part 2) in the film The Emerging Past.

Worked with Randy Jones (The Village People) and C. Thomas Howell in his first family film, The Rack Pack.

The film Lazarus Day of the Living Dead has his real life family black and white photos throughout the film.

Made his first group of neighborhood films in the streets of Ridgewood and Glendale, New York. Decided to return to shoot his film, The Emerging Past in the same areas that he grew up in. Every scene and location of the film, has something to do with his childhood. For example- The hospital scenes were actually filmed at St. Matthias school- a school that Churchill attended from grades 1-6. St. Matthias is also stated in several later Churchill entries.

Thomas credits these FOUR Directors that truly inspired him- Alfred Hitchcock, Orson Welles, Cecil B. DeMille and Steven Spielberg.

Won 2 Awards for Lazarus Day of the Living Dead at The New York City International Film Festival. Best Horror Feature and Best Make-Up.

Was an 2018 Honorary Inductee into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a filmmaker for his continued support for Martial Arts in his films.

Churchill is n the middle of writing Lazarus Day of the Living Dead as a book.

An Easter egg of Lazarus Day of the Living Dead poster can be seen on a wall in Churchill's upcoming films The 3 Killer Pigs & Waxman.

There has been many, many movies that inspired Churchill, but, he credits these films - King Kong (1976), Star Wars (1977), Superman (1978), Beverly Hills Cop (1984) and Batman (1989) of having a huge impact on him to pursue his dream in Hollywood.

Was in the top 5 actors to be considered for a role in 1970's version of The Champ which went to Rick Schroder.

Won 8 awards for The Emerging Past. Including 4 awards for Best Picture. A Best Actress, Actor, Song and trailer also went to this film.

First screen appearance was in the film Heart.

Showcased on the SyFy series Monster Man in episode #2 The Forbidden Werewolf.

Director's Martin Scorsese and Thomas J. Churchill are the only two directors to date to have filmed in the 100 plus year old church-St. Matthias R.C. Church, located 5815 Catalpa Ave, Ridgewood, NY 11385, United States. Scorsese used it for The Irishman, Churchill used it for The Emerging Past.
