FrightFest 2025 will welcome the international premiere of The Only Ones, an independent horror-thriller written, directed and shot by Jordan Miller. The screening will take place on Thursday 21 August in Discovery Theatre Two at the Odeon Luxe West End, offering UK audiences their first look at a film that blends familiar horror structures with a creeping sense of moral decay and internal threat.

Positioned firmly within the festival’s Discovery strand, The Only Ones explores a tight group of friends whose seemingly minor misfortunes spiral rapidly into violence. As bodies fall and trust begins to erode, the group is forced to reckon with an idea more disturbing than any outside threat: that the danger may lie within.

Tobe Hooper forever changed the face of horror in 1974 with his film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. To say that The Big Bend is set in the American desert is technically true but also a wild understatement. The stark and unsettling beauty of West Texas, with its cliffs and canyons and ghost towns, isn’t mere backdrop to this well-observed drama; it infuses the movie on a molecular level. Brett Wagner’s atmospheric feature — which has begun its theatrical journey a couple of years after playing the fest circuit — revolves around a holiday get-together that proves anything but relaxing for two couples and their school-age kids. With its mixture of laid-back intimacy and stressed-out intensity, the story pushes the characters out of their not-so-comfortable comfort zones and into an uncharted territory that’s variously tantalizing, terrifying and forgiving.

In 1974, Tobe Hooper‘s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre changed the face of horror. Next month, actors Ed Neal, John Dugan, Allen Danziger, Teri McMinn, and William Vail will participate in the first official 50th anniversary cast reunion at Creep I.E. Con in Southern California.

Brett Wagner, who donned the Leatherface in the 2003 version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre before suffering from heat stroke during the production, will also be among the celebrity guests. Dubbed “The Lost Leatherface,” he dawned the iconic flesh mask as he claimed the remake’s first victim, played by Eric Balfour.

Robert Hall's slasher sequel 'ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2', currently in post-production, has finally been given that all important release date! The Image Entertainment distribution will be hitting something from 20 September 2011. A number of horror actors and filmmakers are coming out in Burbank, CA next week to support the relief efforts in Japan, which was compounded by yet another earthquake on Monday morning.

The celebrities will meet at Burbank’s Dark Delicacies horror store (3512 West Magnolia) on Thursday, April 7 from 7-10 p.m. to sign 8×10 photos for fans, and pose for pictures with them on a red carpet donated by the BleedFest Film Festival. The event is also sponsored by Dark Delicacies and Fangirltastic.com, and is being both organized and hosted by horror actress Tara Cardinal (pictured).

Week Two of shooting ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 was one of the more interesting times on set. Insane amounts of blood, new faces, and watching a very dedicated cast and crew come together to make the impossible possible have demonstrated everyone’s dedication to bringing horror fans a new installment in the Laid to Rest franchise.

Late in Week One we lost cast member Michael Biehn, who had to depart to film another production in Tunisia, but that meant we got to welcome the awesome Owain Yeoman as our new Detective King. I used to be a huge fan of Fox’s “Kitchen Confidential” so was pretty psyched he was able to join the team.

Which brings me to some new info I can finally reveal. We’ve been doing our best to keep a lot of stuff under wraps, but we’ve gotten our official cast list and synopsis finalized,...

The first photos of Gerard Butler as the Machine Gun Preacher have been procured over on JustJared (via Centerfolds and Empty Screens). The movie is directed by Marc Foster (Finding Neverland, The Kite Runner and Quantum of Solace) and as well as Butler, stars Michelle Monaghan, Michael Shannon, Madeline Carroll, Kathy Baker, Amanda Wright and Brett Wagner. The quality of movies that Foster has been pumping out over the last few years just keeps on getting better (I.M.O) and I can’t wait to see what he does with this movie which, from the synopsis sounds like it could be quite hard hitting stuff. But, whatever happens, Butler will be sporting a mullet!

In anticipation of next week's release of The Crazies , director Breck Eisner dropped by Dark Delicacies over in Burbank earlier this afternoon to sign theatrical posters. Actors Brett Wagner (far left) and Tahmus Rounds (middle) just happened to be in town and dropped by to join Eisner for the event.
