- On Feb. 19, 1957, she was performing onstage at the Allee Theatre in Stockholm, Sweden, in the play "Mr. Kettle and Mrs. Moon" when she suddenly collapsed and was rushed to a hospital. Tests showed that she had been stricken with a cerebral brain hemorrhage. She died in the hospital two days later.
- Promoted as "the next Ingrid Bergman" by her studio's publicity, she actually bore her daughter in the same room of a Rome hospital where Bergman had twins the year before.
