Stone Sour was his original band before joining Slipknot.

Won first Grammy in 2006 with Slipknot.

Many people believe that Corey joined Slipknot when the members of Slipknot decided to enlist him to join the lineup. Joey, Shawn and Mick confronted him with the an ultimatum at his work place, "The Adult Emporium", and said, "Join the band or we will kick your ass!" This is however inaccurate and has been proven as such, in many interviews Taylor has stated he doesn't know where the rumour came from and that in fact the band members were incredibly timid and shy when asking him, taking about half an hour to work up the courage to approach him and ask him to join the band.

Has two children: a daughter named Angeline (born 1992), from a previous relationship, and a son named Griffin Parker Taylor (born 2002), nicknamed Itty Bitty Mouth, with his ex-wife Scarlett.

(Asked what he would change about the music industry) "I'd make a wish, click my heels three times, and give it a soul."

The people I respect the least are the ones that take themselves way too seriously.

People such as Hunter S. Thompson and the Beats were a huge influence on me, not just in what they were saying, but how they said it.

The fact that the public are mesmerized by Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and all these miserable people makes me laugh because those celebrities are more miserable than the people reading about them for escapism.

With 'Seven Deadly Sins,' there was a lot of personal stuff in there that I didn't even realize I'd been carrying around for awhile. And a lot of guilt involved, a lot of emotion, a lot of depression. Once I was done writing that book, I was able to really let go of that stuff.
