Martial arts choreographer/director, whose family roots hail from Zhongshan, Guangdong in Southern China.

On June 23, 2025, Tang Jia was found dead at the junction of Austin Road , Kew Road and Pine Hill Road in Tsim Sha Tsui . His head and body were separated.

From the 1960s to the 1970s, he and Lau Kar-leung were the directors at the Shaw Brothers Studio.

Throughout his career, he directed a number of films, including Shaolin Prince (1982), Shaolin Intruders (1983), and Opium and the Kung-Fu Master (1984).

Tang Chia was taught by Yuan Xiaotian.
