At the age of 16, Sulitzer abandoned his studies and did a series of odd jobs, then went to Israel for six months in a kibbutz.

His father, Jules Sulitzer, is a Jewish immigrant from Romania, who was resistant and decorated with the war cross and who made his fortune by creating a company marketing truck trailers.

He was the symbol of the golden capitalism of the 1980s, before seeing his world collapse in the 2000s.
