He is good friends with Crepúsculo (2008) star Robert Pattinson, who is the godfather to his sister Matilda Sturridge's child.

Was engaged to Sienna Miller from January 2012 until July 2015, having begun a relationship in March 2011. They have one daughter together.

Became a father for the first time at age 26 when his [now ex-] fiancée Sienna Miller gave birth to their daughter Marlowe Ottoline Layng Sturridge on 7 July 2012.
