Appeared in six movies with John Wayne between 1953-70--Quando um Homem É Homem (1963), Onde Começa o Inferno (1959), O Mais Longo dos Dias (1962), Rio Lobo (1970), Os Comancheros (1961) and Geleiras do Inferno (1953).

High-school classmate and pal of John Wayne, who appeared in at least a dozen westerns directed by Steele's father, Robert N. Bradbury.

Twin brother of Bill Bradbury.

Was the only "B" western star to have two series going at the same time. He played Billy in PRC's "Billy the Kid" series and Tucson Smith in Republic's "Three Mesquiteers" during 1940-41. Buster Crabbe took over the role of Billy in 1942.

His horse was named Bullet.

Although he spent much of his career playing cowboy heroes, he occasionally switched to playing bad guys and won good reviews for his performance as a professional killer in Um Preço para Cada Crime (1951) and as the remorseful member of a lynch mob in A Marca da Forca (1968).
