His drama, "Rose", performed by the Royal National Theatre, Cottesloe Stage, was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 2000 (1999 season) for Best New Play.
"Well, I'm not sure that O Segredo de Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Capote (2005) really qualify as gay films. "Brokeback Mountain" is about two straight men who happen to have a gay affair, and "Capote" is about an author, who happens to be gay, going to any lengths to get his story".
