Auditioned for the part of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episódio IV - Uma Nova Esperança (1977). Was being considered to star along with Christopher Walken as Han Solo and Terri Nunn as Princess Leia.

After being one of many young actors who auditioned for Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, he ended up working with George Lucas in his production of More American Graffiti, playing Cindy Williams' (and a non-present Richard Dreyfuss) little brother, Andy Henderson.
