Curiosidades
His most famous program was The Mystery of Al Capone's Vaults (1986), which aired in April 1986. When Chicago's Lexington Hotel was being demolished and its sealed vault was discovered, he hosted the live program with the intent that its climax would be the opening of the vault. Hoping to reveal Al Capone's treasure or a more-gruesome find, he ended up with the biggest revelation being an empty whiskey bottle. The hype that he generated around it nonetheless garnered a record rating of 57, with an estimated audience of 30,000,000. The term "Al Capone's Vault" has therefore come to refer to any overhyped event that leads to nothing.
