Rita Renoir
- Former stripper, she was the star of the 'Crazy Horse Saloon' (the most famous burlesque theater in Paris).
- She was also a theater actress becoming later a director in avant-garde theater in France.
- Renoir was in 1967 the lead actress in Jean-Jacques Lebel's representation of the Pablo Picasso's drama Le Désir Attrapé par la Queue (Desire Caught by the Tail).
- It is her stage name that Catherine Ringer and Fred Chichin chose to name their group: Rita Mitsouko.
- In 1964 Renoir was chosen by Michelangelo Antonioni to play the role of Emilia in The Red Desert, and the following year she made her theatrical debut in René de Obaldia's Du vent dans les branches de sassafras, alongside Michel Simon.
- On stage, in 1963 she played Euripides ' Oresteia at the Théâtre Récamier in a production by Gérard Vergés and the same year Corneille 's Les Amours de Médée at the Barentin Festival in a production by Jean Serge.
- Renoir was the Vedette of the Crazy Horse Saloon, in Paris, between the 1950s and 1960s, becoming one of the most famous European strip-teasers.
- In 1968 , she also worked as a choreographer on Le Pacha , a film by Georges Lautner.
- In 1954 , she was the model for the magazine Paris Cocktails and Paradise n° 26.
- At the age of thirteen,her parents offered her painting lessons on rue Duperrée in Pigalle and she later took classical dance lessons at Studio Wacker on place Clichy.
