When it debuted, Christie Hefner, then CEO of Playboy Enterprises, called 69 Sexy Things 2 Do Before You Die her favorite new show on Playboy TV. The show was led by supervising producer and writer Kira Reed, who had previously been a reporter/producer on Playboy TV's Sexcetera.

She published a book called Score: How to Win the Girl of Your Dreams in December 2012.

She starred in the films Red Shoe Diaries (1992) and The Price of Desire (1997). She also appeared in Nova Iorque Contra o Crime (1993).

Kira Reed started acting in local plays and dancing in recitals when she was 5 years old and went on to appear in commercials at 10 years old.

[nudity in America] You go over [to Greece] and nudity isn't an issue. I was taking my top off and floating around the ocean, thinking that it was so natural and wonderful. But then I got back to the States, where it's such a taboo. You take your shirt off here, and people either think that you're crazy or really cool.

[her physique] Since I was 11 years old, I was stuffing my bra and giving myself hips. I would model around in my mother's shoes. I was always waiting at the window of life for my [breasts] to grow.
