  • In the 1970's, her second husband director Peter Bogdanovich divorced her to be with starlet Cybill Shepherd. In the film Diferenças Irreconciliáveis (1984), a director (Ryan O'Neal) divorced his wife (Shelley Long) for a starlet (Sharon Stone). When Platt was asked about whether Diferenças Irreconciliáveis (1984) was inspired by her real life situation, her answer was: "They got more right than wrong".
