A former Ford model, for 30 years she was the face and spokeswoman for Cover Girl cosmetics, and is catalogued in the Smithsonian Institute's American History Museum, Center for Commercial Advertising.

Married nine times to eight different men (she married husband #6 twice). Her ninth marriage, to Mervin Sidney Louque, has lasted longer than her other eight marriages combined.

Became an overnight film star and made an immediate "older woman" impact on young boys everywhere in the coming-of-age film Houve uma Vez um Verão (1971), despite the fact that she was only in the movie for 12 minutes.

Her father was Oscar O'Neill (1919-2009), a WWII bomber pilot who flew B-17s and once had his plane shot down over Germany where he survived a prison camp. After the war he went back to England to marry Irene ("Rene").

Was considered for the role of Elvira Hancock in Scarface (1983) but Michelle Pfeiffer was cast instead.

She has a daughter named Aimee Rossiter (b. 4/26/67) and two sons: Reis Michael Lederer (b. 1981) and Cooper Alan (b. 3/8/87). She has four grandchildren.

Enjoys horseback riding and training, cooking, music, singing, painting, designing furniture.
