- Signed a seven-year contract with Columbia, beginning with his role in Dívida de Sangue (1965).
- Nardini's father worked as an aircraft worker after having a career as a jazz musician and his mother worked in vaudeville as a comedian, dancer, and singer.
- Nardini was in the Air Force reserve in 1966, based in Riverside, California.
- Three sons: Dominic Joseph (1970) from his second marriage, and Thomas Maxwell (1986) and Gardiner Belding (1990) from his third.
- Tom was starring in the Los Angeles Youth Theater's production of "The Fantasticks," then playing at the Le Grande theater in Hollywood when he was discovered and cast in Dívida de Sangue (1965). In that production of "The Fantasticks" he played Matt, the boy, and has a great singing voice.
- Attended El Camino Junior College in Torrance, California, where he studied theater and joined a Shakespearean group.
- Son of Joseph Oscar Nardini (1914-2008) and Mary Josephine "Chi Che" Mole (1914-1991).
