The Massage Parlour Massacre, an upcoming horror/comedy film with an all star cast of horror icons, has dropped its first trailer.

The film boasts a cast stacked with horror royalty and cult favourites Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), August Kyss, Sandy Johnson (John Carpenter’s Halloween), Mark Patton (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge) and Robert Allen Mukes (Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses). Written and Directed by cult filmmaker Nigel Hartwell (The Demented).

The film’s synopsis reads: In 1999 in New York City a man murders the owner of a Massage Parlour as two children watch and hide. One of the Children become a Detective in search of their mothers killer. 20 years later another Massacre at the same location.

The cast is rounded out by Dakota House (North of 60) and Barry J. Gillis (Things).

“Massage Parlor Massacre is an 1980s style grindhouse throwback,” Hartwell said in a statement.

There have been multiple unexpected Rob Zombie / House of 1000 Corpses books published in recent months: The Official Rob Zombie Coloring Book, Grandpa Hugo’s Dirty Jokes, Z Is for Zombie: Learning to Spell with House of 1000 Corpses Friends. But now we know the release date for a book that we have been expecting for a while. Last year, Zombie announced that he was working on a book about the making of House of 1000 Corpses. Today, People has confirmed that his book, titled Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses: The Making of a Cult Classic will be published in September – and they also shared a look at some of the pages! Next month, a Content Pass will go on sale for the price of $19.99 that will include a new Family Member, a new Victim, a new Execution Pack, four new cosmetics, and early access to the new Game Mode Rush Week, which “will be an exciting and completely brand new way to play The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. This mode will be free to all players at a later date.” Now a teaser trailer for the Rush Week game mode has been unveiled, and it appears that this 1v6 multiplayer mode will be setting the killer Johnny loose in a sorority house! They’ll also be adding a new victim character, and this one is an unexpected move: Maria Flores, the young woman whose disappearance kicked off the events of the game, is now going to be a playable character!

Fans have assumed that Maria was dead, but that’s not the case. As explained on the game’s official website, “Maria Flores, voiced by the talented Stephanie Panisello, is the heart and soul for our cast of Victims.

The team details Hands in a blog post over on their official website this afternoon, revealing that the Slaughter Family’s distant cousin will be joining the game on June 11.

Actor Robert Mukes (House of 1000 Corpses) provides the motion capture performance for Hands, whose role in Chain Saw lore makes him a key figure in Leatherface’s development.

The 20th anniversary of writer/director Rob Zombie’s feature directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here) came and went last year – but today, Zombie took to social media to announce that he’s celebrating the 21st anniversary of the film by working on a book about the making of it! Zombie also shared multiple behind-the-scenes images, and you can check those out at the bottom of this article.

Zombie wrote, “To celebrate the 21st anniversary of House of 1000 Corpses being released I thought I would give you a sneak peek at the House of 1000 Corpses book that I have been working on. Jack Hill’s 1967 cult classic horror movie Spider Baby is getting a remake from filmmaker Dustin Ferguson (Cocaine Cougar, Mega Ape), and we’ve learned today that the film will be premiering on Halloween night. At The Frida Cinema in Santa Ana, CA on October 31, fans will have their very first chance to see the new take on the maddest story ever told.

The red carpet, general admission premiere is taking place at 6pm, and the special screening will include Director Introduction, Cast/Crew Q&a, plus a Merch table.

Production on the Spider Baby remake is complete, but Ferguson and the team have launched a new Indiegogo campaign to help out with their post-production expenses.

Rob Zombie clearly took some inspiration from Spider Baby when he was making House of 1000 Corpses, and back in 2007 we heard that a remake was in the works, coming from the Night of the Living Dead 3D team of director Jeff Broadstreet and writer Robert Valding. The one didn’t end up making it into production… but a couple weeks ago, it was confirmed that filming had just wrapped on a version of the remake that’s coming our way from Scs Entertainment and director Dustin Ferguson (Cocaine Cougar). Bloody Disgusting has been told that the upcoming Spider Baby remake is “set to captivate audiences with a thrilling blend of nostalgia and modern twists.”

The team explains, “The new film promises to reimagine the beloved cult film – which starred Sid Haig and Lon Chaney Jr. – for a new generation of horror enthusiasts.”

The film is now in post-production, with a premiere planned for this October in L.A.

A remake of the classic horror film Spider Baby has wrapped filming. Earlier this year, we reported that the remake was in the works with Dustin Ferguson serving as director. Now, Ferguson has confirmed, via Horror Geek Life, that shooting has been finished on the project. Also revealed is the cast of the new film, which includes Ron Chaney — the grandson of Lon Chaney Jr., one of the stars of the original Spider Baby. Beverly Washburn, who appeared in the original movie, is also in the remake.

Along with Ron Chaney and Beverly Washburn, the remake stars Brinke Stevens, Robert Mukes, Peter Stickles, Traci Burr, Jennifer Moriarty, and Vida Ghaffari.

Before becoming one of the most divisive filmmakers in horror with the likes of Halloween and The Munsters, Rob Zombie was just a musician trying his hand at the film industry. House of 1000 Corpses came together fairly quickly following a failed attempt to reboot The Crow, but the rock star’s Hollywood career almost never was due to post-production controversy that left his directorial debut on the shelf for three years.

Production on Corpses was completed in 2000 before Universal Studios refused to release it due to its objectionable content. MGM later came on board to distribute it in 2002 until a tongue-in-cheek remark by Zombie caused them to cancel the deal. Finally, Lions Gate signed on and released it in April of 2003, launching Zombie’s film career as well as a franchise that would be followed by 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects and 2019’s 3 from Hell.

Back in February, we learned that Lionsgate is giving writer/director Rob Zombie‘s feature debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here) a new Blu-ray release to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary on April 11th. There will be a standard edition of the House of 1000 Corpses 20th anniversary Blu-ray and a steelbook edition that will be exclusive to Best Buy. Both editions will include a disc that’s full of new bonus features, but a New Director’s Commentary will only be accessible on digital platforms. Zombie took to Instagram to reveal that he was recording that new commentary yesterday.

April 11, 2023 will mark the 20th anniversary of the theatrical release of writer/director Rob Zombie‘s feature debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here) – and to celebrate the occasion, Lionsgate is giving the film a new Blu-ray release!

The standard edition of the House of 1000 Corpses 20th anniversary Blu-ray will come with All-new packaging from artists hand-picked by Rob Zombie, Illustrated outerbox by Graham Humphreys, Illustrated poster by David Hartman, 60-page photo book created by Rob Zombie himself with illustrations by Graham Humphreys, and 6 Illustrated Art Cards by David Hartman. Writer/director Dave Kerr is currently in post-production on the home invasion slasher Go Away, which is expected to be released sometime early next year – and while Kerr puts the final touches on the movie, a new trailer for it has arrived online! You can check it out in the embed above.

Funded through an Indiegogo campaign that raised over 50,000, Go Away aims to pit “old school vs. new school in an intruder film with a twist”. The story follows Liz as she, along with her boyfriend Mark travel to a remote home in the woods to visit her estranged mother, Sherry. Sherry has recently remarried after the death of her first husband to an odd man named Chuck and has invited her family out to meet him. As Liz and the rest of her family try to put their differences aside long enough to survive dinner, an unexpected knock...

A couple days ago, writer/director Rob Zombie shared an image from the alternate ending to his feature directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here). An ending that would have shown Sid Haig’s character Captain Spaulding giving a ride to final girl Denise (Erin Daniels) in his Museum of Monsters and Madmen truck. In the film, Spaulding gave Denise a ride in a convertible – and Otis (Bill Moseley) was revealed to be in the backseat. In the deleted ending, Denise would’ve been dragged into the back of the truck by Spaulding’s pal Ravelli (Irwin Keyes). Zombie has now shared another image from the alternate ending that shows Haig and Daniels in the truck, before Ravelli emerges from the back.

Unfortunately, it’s not likely we’ll ever see footage of this alternate ending, because all of the cut scenes were lost while the movie was passed from studio to studio.

The screenplay for Rob Zombie’s feature directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here) can be found online, and is quite different from the film that made it to theatres in 2003. Not only was Grampa Hugo revealed to be Dr. Satan, but there are scenes in the script that were filmed and cut – and Zombie has no access to the footage, as it was lost while the movie was passed from studio to studio. Among the differences is an alternate ending… and Zombie took to Instagram to share a rare still from the film’s original ending! Every so often I like to delve into Amazon Prime and try to find the hidden gems within. Now given how laborious it is to browse these huge online repositories I find myself going down a rabbit hole of searching for a movie I like then clicking through the recommendations, ultimately plunging deeper into the darker, more obscure recesses of Prime Video.

And that’s how I found Michael S Rodriguez’s Last American Horror Show. Originally released in 2018 this surprisingly passed me by. I say surprisingly as a) it stars Felissa Rose And Lynn Lowry, and anything starring either of those actresses usually it promoted like crazy online; and 2) its anthology movie, billed as a trifecta of 80s throwback terror… so whats not to like?...

'Her husband was an animal!' You don't need much more enticement than that to pull you into the new horror thriller Alpha Wolf. But wait, there's more! This latest entry in the werewolf horror sub-genre stars Casper Van Dien as the flesh hungry animal. Tell me you're not going to see it now.

In Alpha Wolf, when Virginia and her husband Jack spend a long weekend in the idyllic countryside, they encounter a creature that tears their lives apart. While the attack has an effect on each of them, it brings out the worst in Jack.

Kevin VanHook directs Alpha Wolf from a screenplay by Wes C. Caefer. VanHook got his start as a VFX artist, first working on TV shows like Xena: Warrior Princess and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. He also worked on Hercules before making his mark on feature films with Sandra Bullock's Miss Congeniality.

The Horror Channel has an Easter treat for fans of Hammer films, as their UK-only Hammer-thon will air March 26th and 27th. I wanna say a few (thousand) words about Rob Zombie’s first 2 flicks. Vol. 1 will focus on ‘House of 1,000 Corpses’ and Vol. 2 will cover ‘The Devil’s Rejects.’ I wanna first congratulate Rob Zombie on making Hillbillies seem cool. To my knowledge, this has never been accomplished in history before or since his attempt/s. As a Hillbilly, this fact makes me slightly happy and partially aroused. That being said, onto the good stuff.
