He and Al Pacino were theater colleagues during the early 70's and worked for the Swift Messenger Service together (earning $1.35 an hour) prior to breaking into films.

Resides at Manhattan Plaza, a building in New York that is famous for housing tenants primarily within the performing arts.

Is an acting coach in New York City. His past students have included O Quinteto (1994) actress Lacey Chabert and Dawson's Creek (1998) actor Kerr Smith. He also instructed Reese Witherspoon at a film acting workshop held at the Waldorf Astoria in the 90's.

Is currently working on an autobiography entitled "Friday the 13th and Other Days".

Had a small, uncredited role as an assistant prosecutor in the urban classic New Jack City: A Gangue Brutal (1991). During the courtroom sequence, he sat directly in front of Ice-T (whom he did not know) and at one point, after a minor squabble between the two, asked him, "Iced Tea? What kind of name is Iced Tea?".
