Tony Maietta is an American film historian, host, author, producer, and
actor. He specializes in the "Golden Age" of Hollywood. He was the host
of "Here's Hollywood", as well as the CBS Home Video releases of "The
Lucy Show", Lucille Ball's follow up series to "I Love Lucy", and the
Blu-ray release of "I Love Lucy", in which he served as a writer
and co-producer. His work as a film historian and host includes
numerous DVD audio commentaries and documentaries, including the award winning "Gentlemen...and Miss Lupino" (Wichita Films, 2021) and "Jack Lemmon: A Life in Film" (Wichita Films, 2019) and has a featured
role in the Emmy-nominated TCM series "Moguls and Movie Stars". As an author, he co-wrote (with Jerry Torre) the Lambda Award-nominated book, "The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens" (Querelle Press, 2018) and is a producer on the upcoming television series based on it. He is also a contributing author of the book, "Douglas Fairbanks"(Academy of
Motion Picture Arts and Sciences/University of California Press, 2008). He lives in
Los Angeles and New York.
