Step brother to actress Asha Sachdev. Arshad Warsi father name was Ahmed Ali Khan. He used the name Aashiq Hussain for his music/poetry career. Ahmed Ali Khan married actress Ranjana (Sachdev), (Raziyah). From this marriage Ahmed Ali Khan and Ranjana Sachdev had a son, singer Anwar Hussain and 2 daughters, Reshma and actress Asha Sachdev. Reshma would later marry actor, producer Coca Cola. Ahmed and Ranjana divorced in the early 60's. The daughters went to live with their mother. Ranjana went on to marry her lawyer Sachdev. That is when she officially became " Ranjana Sachdev". When her daughter Asha decided to become a actress, she took the screen name "Asha Sachdev" after her mother's new surname. Anwar went to go live with his father and his new wife. From the marriage , Arshad Warsi was born. Later on in life Ahmed became a follower of holy man Waris Pak and changed his surname to Warsi . This is how Arshad Warsi got his surname. Arshad Warsi's father passed away from bone cancer in 1987. After that he and Anwar struggled alot in life with finances.
