- British character actress who began in repertory theater (Windsor Repertory) and later pursued West End theatre roles in the late 50s before arriving in films in mid-life and playing old hag types.
- Served in the Woman's Land Army during WWII. Her husband, The Rev. Robert Kettlewell, died as a result of scarlet fever contracted while on active service.
- Once played Mrs. Paroo opposite Van Johnson in a London production of "The Music Man". Also played in "The Killing of Sister George" in England.
- Second daughter and youngest child of the Rev. and Mrs B. A. Berry, and the niece of the author Lieutenant-Colonel W. P. Drury. Was educated at Casterton School before studying art in college.
- Founded "The St. Augustine's Players" church-based theatrical group, for which she remained dedicated for most of her remaining life.
