Der Mond und andere Liebhaber narrates the story of Hanna, a woman who will not take lifes set-backs and knock-downs sitting down. Kaan (35) comes after a long time out of prison. He wants to do things differently. But his perception of reality does not seem to run parallel with the perceived.

Sivan, at around the age of 20, is a native of the Southeastern region of Anatolia. His father Saho is the leader of the Givdanli tribe who stays distant both to the state and to the insurgents who are influent in the region, in order to secure its existence. One day, Sivan meets with the girl he loves, Berfin in a field around the village.

Trapped in - torn apart

Random aggression is a growing phenomenon surround the world.

We meet Menekse and Halil who are in love with each other but can't be together because Menekse's family is very conservative and ambitious. Her father makes her marry a man who she doesn't even know. Menekse and Halil escape to Istanbul.

Hasan arrives in Istanbul. Yusuf finds the hospital Hasan, Kadir and Mustafa are in. The police finds out that Halil is alive.

While Halil decides to give himself up to the police, Menekse goes to the hospital so she can give one of her kidneys to his brother Kadir.

Menekse is preparing for her kidney-transplantation; the police arrives at the hospital to interrogate Halil.

Halil is set free. Menekse's family decide to settle down in Istanbul.

Zeynep tries everything to separate Halil and Menekse.

Halil finally arrives in Istanbul, at the same time as Menekse's brother and husband. Halil finds Menekse.

While Halil is on the funeral of one of his old friends, Kadir and Mustafa kidnap Menekse.

Halil rescues Menekse and they run away from Mustafa, but Mithat finds Zeynep and Halil.

Menekse and eventually Halil find temporary refugee with the Balci family, until Kemal phones Hasan to tell him Menekse is with them.

As Yusuf finds Halil and Menekse, Kadir and Mustafa arrive at the Balcis' shop too.

Halil, Yusuf and Menekse find temporary refugee in Zeynep's house, until Mustafa and Kadir kidnap Canay Balci.

Zeynep tells Mustafa and Kadir about Menekse's whereabouts, and Mustafa shoots Halil.

Halil convalesces at Mithat's house, Kadir in the hospital.

Halil finally remembers that he is innocent. Menekse is ready to reconnect with him when she sees her father who is getting money from Halil.

Mithat sends Mustafa to steal from Halil but Menekse is at Halil's house too.

Kadir confesses to the police and they arrest Mithat's men.
