- Tom Canboro is a police detective with a Christian sister, Eileen; a brother, Calvin; a wife, Susan; and an eccentric brother-in-law, Jason. One night, Jason seemingly goes insane and tries to kill Eileen, calling her a "hater". Tom realizes this may be a conspiracy going as far as devil worship, but as he speeds in his car to get help, he suddenly loses control and crashes. Waking up in a strange hospital, he finds that years have passed and people all over the world are wearing the mark of 666 on their right hands, and all those who don't are being killed off. Franco Macalousso, the believer in world peace of whom Jason was fond of, now controls the world and is trying to unite it as it was at the Tower of Babel. Meanwhile, the "Haters," or Christians, are hiding out and airing TBN tapes on the air for people to realize that the Messiah is really the Antichrist, but their leader, Helen Hannah, is arrested.
- In a remote space observatory perched high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a needle frantically scratches erratic lines on a strip chart recorder confirming an extraterrestrial signal. Emmett Shaw, the powerful, charismatic billionaire who owns the observatory, rushes to the station, hungry to expose the discovery. This is the biggest moment in human history, and he is the man responsible for it all. With the goal of immediately sharing the signal with the entire world, he brings along two leading journalists, Kara Walsh, an extremely attractive, top-notch investigative reporter who begrudgingly owes her career to Shaw, and Reverend Fletcher, a new age visionary with the hottest radio show in the country. Also accompanying Shaw is Jack Jones, a scruffy but brilliant computer technician whose pessimistic and often sarcastic attitude ruffles many feathers in the group, especially Smitty's, the program director, who happens to be Jack's ex-girlfriend, and the only Christian in the group. Meanwhile, unbeknown to Shaw, the military have intercepted the same intelligent signal through a covert military operation headed by the highly decorated Colonel Garrett. The discovery that the deep space signal intensifies human ESP powers prompts Garrett to head to the observatory with his top ESP candidate, Lieutenant Vasquez, and a squadron of soldiers in tow. Both Shaw's and Garrett's crew arrive on the verge of a violent storm only to find the observatory destroyed and both resident technicians mysteriously missing. Cut off from the rest of the world, the group continues to monitor the signal. With each new transmission, it becomes increasingly clear that the signal has a dark and ominous source that brings out the worst in all those who hear it. Before long, a trail of envy, lust, greed, and anger explodes into a sinister world of murder and betrayal. Will the struggle to harness the signal's power destroy them all? There is only one way out, but even if they can see it, will they believe it?

- Convicted felon Rev. Armstrong returns back to his neighborhood a changed man looking to take over his father's old church. The neighborhood is tough and full of drugs and gangs. Through Armstrong's tough demeanor and strong faith he tries to make a difference with Norris - a youth on the edge of falling into a lifetime of drugs and gangs. Also Armstrong must deal with his past history of violence and make sure he doesn't fall again.

Left alone at Miss Pat's beautiful home in the mountains of North Georgia, Nora begins to suspect that Miss Pat's extremely sheltered adult son, Elijah, may have had something to do with the previous pastor's death. Although the story involves Christian characters, Dangerous Calling is not your typical church film. Owing more to Psycho and Misery than Left Behind, Dangerous Calling is sure to keep you on the edge of the pew. In this church the politics can be deadly.
