- While cleaning Lille DIPJ station, Morgane Alvaro, housekeeper, with an IQ of 160, lets drop the file of the murder of Antoine Levasseur, found dead at his home. She can't help reading it and finds out that Jeanne Levasseur, his wife, missing since the day of the murder, is innocent. PJ finds out that Morgane has been messing around with the Levasseur files and Commissaire Hazan, being pressed by her superiors, ask her to help them with the investigation and the disappearance of Jeanne Levasseur. Commandant Karadec is then obliged to collaborate with Alvaro,
- Someone tries to kill 62-year-old Emilien Kerr while he's walking his dog, but the concierge of his apartment finds him in the parking lot suffocating in a plastic bag, and emergency services keep him alive though in a deep coma. Kerr was a widower, a loner who worked as German translator and led a calm life, but Alvaro finds that he had been set up; apparently he'd had dinner with his 29-year-old daughter Alexia, who blamed him for his wife's suicide a decade before. Alexia becomes the main suspect while her sister visits Emilien in the hospital.
- A man is taking a bath in a hotel room when a stranger in a mask forces his head and drowns him under the water. This is Morgane's first case as a consultant for Lille DIPJ with Kadarec's disagreement. She is reluctant at first, but accepts the post, subject to the reopening of the investigation of her former lover Romain's disappearance, which Hazan supervises. The PJ discovers that the deceased's name was Benjamin Winckler, he was a hotel-bar regular, and he was having an affair with Gladys Puger, a doctor in her 40s who was the last person to see Benjamin alive and becomes the main suspect.
- A car drives into the forest with two scared girls trapped in the boot. The next day, Florence Grangeon reports the disappearance of Laura and Juliette Sorin, her 5- and 8-year-old daughters, to the DIPJ in Lille. She and their father, Franck Sorin, had joint custody of them, and he is missing too. Arnaud, the grandfather, wealthy owner of a luxury hotel chain, considers Franck a marginal follower of collapsology theories, trying to live on a eco-responsible farm. He is the ideal suspect in their probable kidnapping, for his father-in-law would do anything to dispute the custody of his daughters.

Although the coroner first favours natural death, Morgane suddenly realizes that the victim has been poisoned with a Phyllobates terribilis, a small yellow frog missing from one of the animal cages. While on the inquest, Morgane asks her mother about Romain.
- Alex Viniali, 46, divorced estate agent and amateur football player, is found dead in a football locker room. The investigation reveals that he was also a member of a group of Lille hooligans who had recently fought with a rival team. While Morgane gets her 15-year-old daughter Théa to do the internship of 3rd grade at the DIPJ, Commandant Karadec is troubled by a sexy dream he has had: starring Morgane.
- The body of Axel Maertens, 32, sailing and kitesurfing instructor and manager of the nautical club at Malo-les-Bains, is found suffocated with a rope on a beach, presumably by accident. Morgane notices that the knot was not tied by a sailor, such as Axel, which means it was a murder. A certain Jonathan, who at first declared to have witnessed the murder, finally confesses that he committed the crime, a situation that makes everyone feel relieved, but that Morgane and Karadec find hard to believe. They join forces to continue with the investigation.
- The PJ attends to the murder scene of Pauline Garcia, who has been run over and crushed by her own car. The team is happy to know that a witness may have met the murderer, but they then find out that she is blind. Pauline was an accomplished ice skater, selected to participate in the following Olympic games with the national team, so the first investigations lead Kadarec and Alvaro to the ice rink where she used to train to interrogate her possible rivals.
- Malik Oussekine is beaten to death by the police. His family begin a tough battle.

Meanwhile, Morgane is depressed: weeks have passed since Ludo left her; furthermore, she has discovered that Roxane, her worst enemy--and Karadec's new girlfriend--is increasingly playing a leading role in the life of the brigade. Nothing is going well for the consultant who must face an investigation that is much more complex than it seemed at first.
- After a difficult night, Morgane wakes up at Karadec's house, and during breakfast, the shame is more than palpable. Later, both are called to a new investigation: the body of an airplane pilot has been found hiding bundles of bills in his apartment. Finally, Morgane and Karadec must solve the murder of this young man with many faces.

DNA reveals that the corpse corresponds to Lieutenant Laëtitia Keller, a police officer.
- While practicing at the police-station switchboard, Morgane receives a mysterious complaint from an old woman who is found dead a few hours later. Finally, while she tries to get rid of her boring coach, Morgane tries to solve the murder of this woman who had announced her own demise.
- The charred body of Valentin Bélliard, 17, is found in his parents' barn and the investigation seems to be heading towards an accident, although for Morgane it is a murder, probably related to the fact that Valentin led a double life: a secret apartment, a mysterious girlfriend and another job. At the same time, Morgane is looking for a new home with Ludo. Finally, an attempt is made to discover the true identity of Karadec's new girlfriend.
- Roxane and the brigade are in charge of organizing Karadec's surprise birthday fete--a very complicated situation for Morgane, who has just realized her feelings for the commander. At the same time, in her next case Morgane finds, not a body but an empty coffin. The deceased was Hélène Lecoq, a notable who lived in a mansion with her family.
