BIO: Lazarus Tate is a multi-talented artist dominating both the acting and music industry. Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, Lazarus began playing the piano and singing at the age of 11. Growing up Lazarus spent countless hours in musical theatre and drama classes booking his first paid musical gig starring in Hairspray The Musical at the Hale Theatre. With a burning passion for television and film, Lazarus set his sights to move to LA and make his dreams a reality post-high school graduation. Unfortunately, growing up Lazarus's family struggled financially, unable to assist him in affording his move to Los Angeles. Lazarus is the youngest of 6 siblings and a single mother. Lazarus's mother Chinice worked tirelessly 6 days a week, 12+ hour days as a caregiver for autistic adults to provide for her children. Though at times Lazarus' family lived paycheck-paycheck, they had an unbreakable bond that kept his family always focusing on an optimistic future. Lazarus credits all of his success to his best friend and mother Chinice Benson. Lazarus is grateful for his mother's sacrifices to pay for his Speech & Debate training as he competed around the nation in the competitive Speech & Debate acting categories Dramatic Interpretation and Humorous Interpretation. Lazarus' competitive acting accolades included winning Arizona State Dramatic Interpretation Champion, Top 90 at the Harvard National Competition, the opportunity to compete at the National Speech & Debate Competition two years in a row, earning himself top 35 in the nation in prose interpretation acting. Without this acting foundation that speech and debate provided and the excellent mentorship and coaching he received from his teacher Cassie Alber, Lazarus wouldn't be the dominating actor he is today. After graduating high school Lazarus faced the cold hard truth that getting to LA to begin his entertainment career was a feat that he just couldn't afford. Anxious, Lazarus felt that his dreams were out of reach. Lazarus felt stuck, until one day his friend recommended a site called "Cool Works" where you can do a seasonal job in a different state that provided cheap housing, great wages, and adventure. After a series of interviews, Lazarus found himself on the plane leaving behind his family, friends, two dogs, and the Arizona heat, in exchange for the cold blizzard city of Big Sky, Montana. Lazarus saw this opportunity as a way to fund his dreams and make them a reality. While living in Big Sky, Lazarus stayed in a single dorm room, working 6 days a week at the Summit Hotel serving & bussing tables and saving every last penny to make his dreams a reality. In 6 months' time, Lazarus managed to save over $11,000 which he used to purchase a car, enroll in on-camera acting classes, and finally fund his move to LA to break into the entertainment industry. Lazarus unstoppable and determined, full of luck managed to sign to his first acting agency within his first week in LA and gives all the credit to God's Faithfulness. Lazarus has since booked roles on Disney+, Nickelodeon, BratTv, Bet+, along with starring in over 15 Films and National Commercials. Lazarus received the opportunity to act overseas in Osaka, Japan for Universal Studios in 2019 for Universals,' "Harry Potter Wand Studies Magic Show," putting on groundbreaking live performances daily in Osaka Japan, performing in both English & Japanese. Lazarus has had the opportunity to sing in front of major audiences both in Japan and America. Lazarus has since dropped his hit singles "Sleepless Nights" & "Tip Toe" while producing and directing top-notch music videos for his original music, leaving audiences coming back for an encore. Lazarus has just wrapped up his role on Nickelodeons' "Danger Force" and is set to release his pop soulful ballad "Keep The Past Alive" releasing August 26, 2022. Lazarus certainly believes that his career has only just begun, and lives by the quote he read on a fortune cookie he received years ago, which stated "If your dreams don't scare you, They aren't big enough."
