'Can't Wait to Not See It': Bam Margera Blasts Jackass Franchise Possibly Moving Forward
Image
Bam Margera exited the Jackass franchise amid controversy during the production of Jackass Forever, the fourth feature film of the franchise. Now feeling that the best days of Jackass are long gone, Margera has suggested that the franchise is finished, meaning that a potential fifth movie should be called something else. Margera even has a particular title in mind.

Margera was one of the original stars of the Jackass TV show that spawned the franchise, which also included his hit spinoff series, Viva La Bam. In 2020, Margera was terminated from Jackass Forever, and he subsequently filed a lawsuit, arguing that he was wrongfully fired. The two sides later reached a settlement, but the details were not disclosed. While the future of the franchise isn't entirely clear, Margera shared a new video on Instagram sharing his thoughts on a possible fifth film happening.

Jackass 5 Gets Surprisingly Promising Update From Johnny Knoxville After Previous Comments
Image
Johnny Knoxville is open to the idea of Jackass 5, but doesn't feel the urge to make it yet, still jotting down ideas for the potential movie. If it gets greenlit, Knoxville has previously suggested leaning on the younger cast members introduced in Forever to continue the franchise in a safe and fresh way. Passing the torch to new stars while still including original cast members could keep Jackass alive for future generations.

Despite seemingly indicating the prior movie was the end for him in the franchise, Jackass 5 has gotten an exciting update from Johnny Knoxville. The co-creator/star returned to his stunt-driven property with 2022's Jackass Forever, the fourth theatrical movie which was largely touted as being the final installment, particularly for Knoxville and Steve-o, after the injuries endured throughout the years. Following Forever's record-breaking reviews and strong box office run, however, speculation of a fifth movie began swirling.

The 15 Best Netflix Original Movies Of 2022, Ranked
Image
With the pandemic still raging on and many, myself included, still feeling nervous about heading to the theaters, streaming services have been a lifeline for film fans. Netflix still reigns as the victor of the streaming wars and is continuing to establish itself as a certifiable force as a production company. The streamer led the Academy Award nominations last year with "The Power of the Dog," and there's a good chance they'll have plenty to celebrate in the coming weeks regarding this year's slate. 2022 was a time for restructuring and recouping massive losses, but Netflix still managed to put out some undeniably great original narrative features. As we head toward 2023, here are the 15 best original Netflix films of the year, including a few that haven't arrived on the app just yet.

Jackass 4.5

Okay, yeah, I'm kicking off this list by cheating because Netflix didn't make this film, but whatever, it's...

Jackass 5 Would Be Different From Previous Movies, Says Johnny Knoxville
Image
Johnny Knoxville explains how Jackass 5 would look somewhat different from the previous Jackass films if they were to move forward with another installment. Having started out as a series on MTV in 2000, Knoxville and his friends made their long-awaited return to screens earlier this year for the fourth Jackass feature film, Jackass Forever. More than ten years on from the release of Jackass 3, audiences were delighted to see Steve-o, Chris Pontius, Jason 'Wee Man' Acuña, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and Ehren McGhehey reunite for another round of ridiculous stunts and hilarious gags.

Alongside these returning fan favorites, the Jackass gang was joined by a handful of newbies as they were initiated into the group through a variety of wild stunts. Jackass Forever welcomed Sean 'Poopies' McInerney, Jasper Dolphin, Eric Manaka, Zach Holmes, Rachel Wolfson, and Compston 'Dark Shark' Wilson to the much-loved franchise, with these new faces having certainly held...

Johnny Knoxville in Jackass Forever (2022)
‘Jackass Forever’ Cannonballs to $1.65 Million at Thursday Box Office
Johnny Knoxville in Jackass Forever (2022)
“Jackass Forever,” the return of Johnny Knoxville and company’s absurd and R-rated prank and stunt show to the big screen, brought in $1.65 million at the box office in its Thursday box office previews from approximately 2,650 locations and screenings starting at 7:00 p.m. It opens on approximately 3,590 screens this weekend.

Paramount and MTV Entertainment’s “Jackass Forever” kicks off February and what is hopefully the start of signs of more life at the box office, and it also opens alongside another studio film, Lionsgate’s release of “Moonfall,” a disaster epic from Roland Emmerich.

“Moonfall” in its Thursday previews managed to bring in $700,000 from around 2,300 locations.

The early total for “Jackass Forever” was hampered when just under 300 locations were closed on Thursday due to the major snow storms that moved through the Midwest and on into the northeast, though most of those theaters, if not all, are expected to...

‘Jackass Forever’: Meet Rachel Wolfson, the First Woman in This Pain- and Penis-Obsessed Comedy Crew
Image
Rachel Wolfson grew up watching “Jackass” and putting her own spin on their pranks with her friends. Years later, as a standup comedian, YouTuber, and podcaster known for her particular brand of “cannabis comedy,” Johnny Knoxville recruited her off of Instagram to join his crew in “Jackass Forever.” She eagerly accepted, but never forgot her guiding mantra: As long as I’m not the one crying, I’m fine.

One licked taser and a bunch of lip-biting scorpions later, Wolfson accomplished that goal. She’s a Jackass, and all too happy for the designation. She’s also the crew’s first official female member, and joins other young rookies Sean “Poopies” McInerny, Jasper Dolphin, Zach Holmes, and Eric Manaka in the fourth installment of the “Jackass” film franchise.

Before we began, I told her I was conducting the interview from my apartment’s bathroom (the radiator was being repaired and...

This Fishy ‘Jackass’ Stunt Cemented Steve-o’s Fame: ‘It Came Out Swimming’
Image
Steve-o is finally detailing how his famous fishy stunt came to be, ahead of “Jackass Forever” hitting theaters February 4. Thanks to four new episodes of MTV’s “Ridiculousness,” featuring the original Jackass team, fans are learning the truth about their favorite pranks.

Steve-o shot to fame with his “The Goldfish” talent, showcasing a puke-tastic party trick in “Jackass the Series.” “This was an idea that I saved for a special occasion,” Steve-o said in an exclusive sneak peek. “I thought it was going to be a real banger.”

The goldfish survived Steve-o swallowing it and then throwing it back up again. Some could even say the goldfish thrived: “It came out swimming,” Steve-o remembers with a laugh.

He adds, “I’ll never forget after this, [creator Johnny] Knoxville said, ‘Well Steve-o, if you’re not already famous, you’re gonna be now.'”

Plus, as Knoxville previously pointed out in a May 2021 interview with GQ,...

Johnny Knoxville’s ‘Jackass’ Growing Pains: How a Violent Bull Stunt Made Him Stop Living Dangerously
Image
As the star of “Jackass,” the MTV series born in 2000 that turned into a blockbuster movie franchise, Johnny Knoxville has badly injured every part of his body, from his head to his limbs to his — uh, groin area. But while making “Jackass Forever,” the fourth Paramount film that follows a beloved ensemble of dudes (and one woman) who attempt painful stunts involving blunt objects and dangerous animals, Knoxville finally hit a wall. Or rather, a bull — it ran him over.

Knoxville had been building toward the no-holds-barred stunt for weeks while shooting the movie, which opens in theaters on Feb. 4. “I was trying to do a magic trick in a bull ring,” Knoxville explains over a breakfast in West Hollywood in December, days before omicron made people go into hiding again. “I wanted to prank an animal, and that’s what we came up with.” But the bull didn’t find the joke funny,...

‘Action Point’ Review
Stars: Johnny Knoxville, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Chris Pontius, Dan Bakkedahl, Johnny Pemberton, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Eric Manaka, Joshua Hoover, Conner McVicker, Michael Everson, Matthew Peterson | Written by John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky | Directed by Tim Kirkby

The Johnny Knoxville starring Action Point attempts to once again recalibrate and weave the Jackass level of stunt filmmaking into a structured story narrative in the same vein as Knoxville’s moderately successful 2013 feature Bad Grandpa. The outcome is quite surprisingly successful while remaining ever so childish and formulated yet with a balanced tone of comedy and light-hearted drama.

D.C. is the crackpot owner of Action Point – a low-rent, out-of-control amusement park where the rides are designed with minimum safety for maximum fun. Just as his estranged daughter Boogie comes to visit, a corporate mega-park opens nearby and jeopardizes the future of Action Point. To save his beloved park and his relationship with Boogie, D.C.
