Joaquin Garcia(V)

Joaquin Garcia is a composer, orchestrator, and conductor specialised in film music. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he studied classical composition and conducting at Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) where he graduated with the Alberto Ginastera award for composing. After finishing his undergraduate, he completed a Master in Scoring for Film, TV and Videogames (Magna cum Laude) at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Between 2017 and 2020, Joaquin worked as a composer and orchestrator for Uno Helmersson, in Stockholm, Sweden. Working for Helmersson, Joaquin collaborated on a variety of projects, included award wining documentaries such as Flee, by Jonas Poher Rasmussen. In this time he also scored Kira Jääskeläinen's documentary Northern Travelogues, and Ybing Jiang's animated short movie, Windup, for witch he was awarded best original score at the Sapporo Short Film Festival 2020. Based in Uppsala, Sweden, where he founded his own music studio, Aguara Studios, he worked he worked in multiple projects, included the BAFTA winner documentary, Fearless: the women against Putin, by Sarah Collinson, While we Watched, by Vinay Shukla, The Real Crown: Inside the House of Windsor, at TV documentary series, directed by .Kate Quine, and Born to Fly, a documentary directed by Brenna Robideaux about gold medalist Mondo Duplantis.
