French President Emmanuel Macron has revealed his and his wife Brigitte’s reasoning for their lawsuit suing far-right influencer Candace Owens for her claims that Brigitte was born a man.
Owens first made the claim in March 2024, and followed it up with an eight-episode podcast series called Becoming Brigitte.
Filed last month, the Macrons’ defamation lawsuit alleges a “relentless and unjustified smear campaign,” suing Owens on 22 counts, including for defamation and false light.
In the first interview since filing the lawsuit, Macron told Paris Match that he feels the spread of false information across the U.S. is out of control. “This has become so widespread in the United States that we had to react,...

The top of the podcast charts might not look like they’ve changed much over the past couple of years, but make no mistake: There has been a major shift in the currents of what’s popular in the medium. Lavishly produced, narrative-style podcasts have fallen out of favor. Chat shows and crime-of-the-week efforts rule. And being on camera is no longer optional.
“There is no question that there’s been a change, and what is working is what’s more affordable or cost-effective,” says Steve Goldstein, CEO of Amplifi Media and New York University podcasting professor.
Just take a look at the charts: Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast has been around for nearly a decade, but now it regularly places in the top 10. Self-help guru Mel Robbins has elbowed her way into the upper ranks, while a clutch of conspiratorial right-wing pundits like Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens...

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, reportedly hired a private investigator to dig up information about the conservative podcaster Candace Owens.
Last month, following the investigation, Macron and Brigitte sued Owens over “baseless” and “defamatory” claims that Brigitte is transgender. The lawsuit comes in response to Owens’ podcast series Becoming Brigitte, in which she alleged that France’s first lady was born male. The podcast attracted millions of listeners, who in turn promoted the claim across the internet.
Many people have noted that Macron and Brigitte have gone to extreme lengths to seek “justice” for comments from an online influencer, and their decision to employ a P.I. has further emphasized the seriousness with which they take the matter. The couple’s attorney, Tom Clare, said that the investigation was conducted to understand why the conservative commentator would target the Macrons. He further stated that it was important...

A YouTuber is seeking a protective order against actress Blake Lively, after being served with a subpoena by Lively’s legal team.
Lauren Neidigh, who runs the YouTube channel “The Court of Random Opinion,” requested the order from a judge on Monday. Neidigh, along with two other content creators, was served subpoenas amid Lively’s legal war with Justin Baldoni.
“[Lively’s] subpoena targeted creators who have expressed unfavorable opinions about her online,” Neidigh said. “The subpoena was not supported by any evidence. It served to intimidate, harass, chill constitutionally protected free speech, and threaten the safety and privacy of non-parties.”
Lively’s team eventually dropped the subpoenas, but that didn’t stop the YouTuber from requesting the protective order.
Neidigh also said that Lively has not closed the door on a future subpoena, leaving a “burden” on the YouTubers who have been targeted.

Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein gave an update on his time in prison in an interview with right-wing podcaster Candace Owens.
Weinstein, who was sentenced to prison in 2020, spoke about his relationship with his five children and his desire to spend time with them.
“I’d move as close to my kids as humanly possible,” Weinstein said. “My kids are number one now, my family is number one, because they’re the important thing.”
Weinstein, 73, was convicted of criminal sexual assault and rape and sentenced to 23 years in prison. While his conviction in New York was overturned, he was found guilty on three charges of rape in Los Angeles and sentenced to 16 years in prison. Last month, he was convicted of two counts of rape in his New York retrial and acquitted of the third count.
Time away from his family showed Weinstein that he can’t take his relationship with his children for granted.

Disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein currently calls Rikers Island his home, serving a lengthy sentence that just might keep him behind bars for the remainder of his life. He recently had the opportunity to voice his side of the story in a conversation with political commentator Candace Owens, where he opened up about the one mistake in filmmaking history he would like to fix.
What’s the one mistake, you ask? Well, according to him, it is the 1957 adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s novel, ‘A Farewell to Arms’. Directed by Charles Vidor, the namesake adaptation failed to impress the audience back in the day, and Weinstein believes that if he were ever granted freedom, he would try his hand at bringing the novel to life and have it done right this time.
When asked what he would do if he were released, Weinstein had his answer ready, work-wise. In the conversation uploaded to Owens’ YouTube channel,...

Harvey Weinstein has made wild accusations against his accusers from prison, when he attended an interview on controversial political commentator Candace Owens‘ show. Weinstein claimed that the district attorney spent an enormous amount of money to set up an overwhelming amount of evidence against him in the case.
He claimed that the expert witnesses in the case were paid hefty amounts. He even accused the victims in the case of taking money from him. He claimed that when Mimi Haleyi’s trial was announced, her attorney, Gloria Allred, came to his representatives with an offer. He shared:
She went to my lawyers and said, ‘For $750,000, pay us off and we’ll go away.’ And we didn’t pay her because we thought it was absolute nonsense.

Candace Owens laid bare a growing suspicion about the fairness of New York’s justice system during her recent interview with Harvey Weinstein. She pointed to several high-profile cases, from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ surprising acquittal on serious charges initially despite damning video evidence to even the partially dismissed claims against Justin Baldoni. “Forgetting your case, but just taking a look at everything on a larger picture… is there something rotten in the New York system?” Owens said bluntly.
Weinstein did not hold back in his agreement, expressing deep frustration with the outcomes and the processes that led there:
I certainly am, you know, sickened by the results. There’s no reason that with this trial shouldn’t be a mistrial. And so you can add me to those voices, you know, who feel that something’s wrong with the system. This is a terrible outcome.

Even after Blake Lively’s legal team withdrew a string of controversial subpoenas sent to small content creators, there’s still one thing they’re reportedly after: the names behind the screens. Journalist Kjersti Flaa, in a YouTube video, criticized the Gossip Girl star’s legal demands for creators to reveal their confidential sources, calling it a profound violation of journalistic ethics. She stated:
If you just give up your sources like that, what kind of journalist does that make you? I mean, they’re just expecting us to have zero integrity for our work. It’s not happening.
Among the most disturbing details? The now-withdrawn subpoenas reportedly demanded sensitive personal data, including credit card records and bank information (per Daily Mail). Flaa didn’t mince words about the ongoing legal wrangling. “Uh, so they want to know all our anonymous sources. It just never ends,” she added. Meanwhile, the lawsuit against Justin Baldoni,...

Big Brother and drama go hand in hand, and the same is happening in Season 27 as well. A serious accusation shook up the show, and it involved the show’s most famous winner, Rachel Reilly. That’s right, live feeds viewers caught houseguests Keanu Soto and Rylie Jeffries in the backyard, discussing what they believed was a clear case of cheating. Rylie said, “She was trying to cheat,” and Keanu backed him up by adding, “I know! That is crazy, bro!”

Blake Lively’s legal blitzkrieg against critics has taken an unexpected U-turn: subpoenas aimed at content creators have suddenly been withdrawn. At the eye of the storm is journalist and creator Kjersti Flaa, who called this development a “big bombshell”. She recently revealed the withdrawal came without explanation, sparking questions about the true motives behind the legal assault. She confessed (YouTube):
This is crazy. I’ve been in complete shock the entire weekend after I received an email from my attorney yesterday saying, ‘You’re out.’ They withdrew my subpoena. I was in shock.
Flaa fiercely challenged the legitimacy of the original subpoenas, asserting:
We just talked openly about our opinions about Blake Lively and this lawsuit. And everything that we spoke about, we based on legal findings and things we found in articles online.

Candace Owens is doubling down on her attacks against Brigitte Macron after the French First Lady filed a lawsuit against her in Delaware. Responding to the suit, Owens shared on her podcast that Emanuel and Brigitte Macron were trying to groom the U.S. courts. She reiterated her assertion that Brigitte was “born a man”.
Owens went on to claim that the suit actually defamed her and even suggested that President Donald Trump would agree with her assertion. She shared, “We would be required to depose Donald Trump.” She earlier claimed that she got a call from Trump, sharing that the Macrons asked the President to get Owens to stop talking about Brigitte (via Deadline).
In the lawsuit, Emanuel and Brigitte Macron alleged that Owens was making the claim “to promote her independent platform, gain notoriety and make money.” However, the lawsuit didn’t seem to bother Owens, who called it “a catastrophic PR strategy.

Blake Lively‘s subpoenas to content creators in the Justin Baldoni legal drama have caused massive outrage on the internet. While many question the actress’s violation of freedom of speech, she has received support from Amber Heard‘s lawyer. Elaine Bredehoft made a bizarre statement supporting Lively’s decision.
Earlier, Heard received brutal criticism online during the Depp vs Heard trial of 2022. Bredehoft still believes that much of this criticism came as part of Johnny Depp’s PR move. She has responded positively to Lively’s latest legal action, sharing with Variety:
They basically annihilated [Amber Heard]. I think it’s great that Blake Lively’s legal team is trying to get in front of it. How else do you fight this?
Bredehoft’s statement comes after many accused Lively of trying to silence the severe criticism against her. John Genga, who represents journalist Kjersti Flaa, shared, “We think it’s invasive.

In response to a defamation suit filed today by France’s President & First Lady, Candace Owens is doubling down on her seemingly fanatical assertion that Brigitte Macron was born a man – and she’s bringing Donald Trump with her.
Even with the legal action from Emmanuel Macron and his wife, no one realistically expected Owens to back down on her red meat claims on the First Lady of France’s original gender. However, just as she pours more gasoline on the flames of Maga discontent over the Jeffrey Epstein files not being released by the Justice Department, the controversy embracing right-winger has gone full scorched Earth and now pulled Trump into the case.
Doubling down on the assertion that 72-year-old Mrs. Macron is indeed a male and citing a recently overturned French libel case on the subject, former Daily Wire contributor Owens Wednesday exclaimed that the suit filed today in Delaware actually defames her.

French President Emmanuel Macron has filed a lawsuit against the far-right podcaster Candace Owens for repeatedly claiming that his wife, Brigitte Macron, is a man.
In December 2021, YouTubers Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey were featured in a four-hour YouTube video in which they claimed Brigitte was born a man named Jean-Michel Trogneux, the name of her brother.
The rumors surrounding Brigitte angered the Macron family to the point that she took the YouTubers to court last June, and three months later, she was awarded $8,800 in damages, but that judgment was recently reversed.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron have filed a defamation lawsuit against Candace Owens, the conservative influencer and podcaster who claims the first lady was born male.
Filed in Delaware on Wednesday, the lawsuit accuses Owens of publishing “outlandish, defamatory and far-fetched fictions,” causing “substantial reputational damage” and “substantial economic damages” to the Macrons in the process, according to the Financial Times.
The 218 page-court ruling states that along with claiming Macron was born under the name Jean-Michel Trogneux, Owens went on to say that the Macrons are also blood relatives and that Emmanuel Macron is “a product of a CIA human experiment or a similar government mind control programme,” per the Financial Times.

Candace Owens is facing a lawsuit.
The 36-year-old conservative commentator is being sued for her “outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions” that French First Lady Brigitte Macron was born a man, per a lawsuit filed Wednesday by Emmanuel Macron, via Deadline.
The couple claim that Candace is constantly attacking the couple “to promote her independent platform, gain notoriety, and make money,”
She “has built a brand on provocation, not truth,” the defamation suit reads.

“The clicks kept coming, so Owens kept going, seizing every opportunity to promote her salacious claims,” exclaims the lawsuit, filed in Delaware state court.
“Rather than engage with President and Mrs. Macron’s attempts to set the record straight, Owens mocked them and used them as additional fodder for her frenzied fan base,” the filing adds.
Candace reportedly goaded the French First Couple to sue her for months on her Becoming Brigitte series.

McKenzie Folks, a stay-at-home mom, has been posting on TikTok for about a year. For the past several months she has focused on the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni legal case, giving her opinions into a sequin-covered spatula that she uses as a microphone.

Donald Trump is sick of fielding questions about Jeffrey Epstein. But his efforts to quash lingering interest in the case of the late sex offender by downplaying it as some kind of “hoax” perpetrated by political enemies including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have failed to satisfy Maga diehards who want the White House to release bombshell materials implicating powerful elites in Epstein’s crimes, or evidence that he was killed in his jail cell in 2019 to protect those same people.
It’s a crisis of the administration’s own making.

The ongoing legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively has a new update, and it is not a good look for Team Lively. Content creator Andy Signore of the Popcorned Planet uploaded a video to his YouTube channel titled, “Insane! Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Supoena Content Creator’s Google Accounts?!”
As is evident by the title, Signore is furious, and he held no punches back in his video. He revealed an email that he apparently got from Google about a subpoena headed his way, as well as towards other content creators who have been vocal about Baldoni vs. Lively.
The email’s subject reads, “Subpoena Notice from Google,” and the content is as follows:

Blake Lively is supposed to appear for a deposition in the Justin Baldoni trial on July 17, and she is reportedly trying to delay her appearance. It is one of the crucial appearances from the actress that could determine the future of this ongoing legal issue between Lively and Baldoni.
At this deposition, Lively will be facing questions from Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Freedman, and she will have to present her mounting evidence against her co-star in court (via TMZ). However, reports suggested that she asked for a delay of an additional six weeks to review 50,000 hours of raw footage from her film, It Ends With Us.
Billy Bush, who has been covering the drama for a long time and supports Team Baldoni, has slammed the actress’s attempts to delay her deposition. He found the reason for the actress’s delay to be ridiculous. Bush called the deposition the “trial...

Candace Owens pulled out her texts on a live podcast after she got subpoenaed by Blake Lively over her smear campaign allegations against Justin Baldoni. Earlier, Owens, along with other podcasters and interviewers, received a subpoena from Lively’s lawyers.
The actress’s attorneys claimed that Baldoni and the Wayfarer team orchestrated the smear campaign via chat sites like Reddit with the help of content creators. They alleged, “The team would then ‘amplify’ that content by sharing it with larger outlets to increase negative sentiment toward Ms. Lively.”
Owens had already responded to the news of the subpoena released by TMZ. She shared in a statement to People:

Harvey Weinstein was convicted Wednesday on one charge of first-degree sexual assault in his New York retrial, and acquitted on a second. The jury was ordered to continue deliberating on a third count, a lesser charge of third-degree rape – even as the reported chaos in the jury room continued.
The panel found Weinstein guilty of forcibly subjecting former “Project Runway” production assistant Miriam Haley to a sex act in 2006, and acquitted him of a second charge of sexually assaulting former model Kaja Sokola, also in 2006. It could not reach a unanimous verdict on a third-degree rape involving Jessica Mann in 2013, and was sent back for more debate.
After the partial verdict was read, Weinstein took the unusual step of asking to address the court, which the judge allowed: “My life is on the line, and you know what? It’s not fair,” he said. “It’s time, it’s time,...

Let’s chew on this irony: Elon Musk, who tosses satellites into space, births electric revolutions, and sits comfortably atop the billionaire throne, lives in a house that costs less than one of his own electric trucks. Now that’s something many of us didn’t see coming. At around $50,000, Musk’s primary Texas home is humbler than a Tesla Cybertruck.
The 375-square-foot home is “awesome”, quaint, compact, and shockingly… livable. Meanwhile, the affordable Cybertruck has underwhelmed fans, shedding features like snake skin. We’ve got thoughts. Let’s unpack this contradiction.

Two multibillionaires are feuding, and it seems that things are only just getting started. Merely months after Trump was reelected to the office of the President, one of the biggest supporters of the returning Commander-in-Chief, Elon Musk, and the man himself have had a public falling out. This has resulted in some tit-for-tat threats issued on X and Truth Social, but what does Elon Musk stand to lose in the fight?
Musk’s bombshell revelation that Donald Trump was on the Epstein List has caused many to speculate how the latter is going to address such an accusation. There have already been calls from the President to have certain subsidies and contracts taken away from Musk, which has only caused more retaliation from the tech billionaire.

A panel of seven women and five men began deliberating Harvey Weinstein’s fate on Wednesday, as New York prosecutors wrapped their rape and sexual assault case and sent it to the jury that could definitively decide whether he spends the rest of his life in prison – as well as determine his soon-to-be current address.
That’s because a not-guilty verdict would automatically send Weinstein back to California, where he was convicted in December 2022 and sentenced to 16 years. That verdict, and Weinstein’s 23-year sentence, are under an appeal of the same nature that got his 2022 New York conviction thrown out, sparking the soon-to-be concluded Manhattan retrial.
But a guilty verdict would surely mean that the now-72-year-old Weinstein, who has repeatedly complained of dire health problems at the notorious Rikers Island prison, will die in prison. The California sentence is to be served consecutively – only after a potential New York sentence is expired.

At one point, Harvey Weinstein’s lawyers worried aloud that their ailing client wouldn’t make it through his New York rape retrial alive. Now they’ve decided the much-accused Pulp Fiction producer will conclude the case without saying a word in his own defense.
“He wanted to testify, and we respect that instinct,” Weinstein’s longtime spokesperson Juda Engelmayer told Deadline on Monday after a weekend in which a final decision went back and forth, I hear. “At this stage, doing so would subject him to scrutiny far beyond the scope of the current charges — raising issues that could unfairly damage his credibility. Our position is one of caution, not evasion.”
This tracks as Weinstein had expressed a desire to testify in both his original NYC trial and in a 2022 Los Angeles sex crimes case but never did.

Roseanne Barr is back in the headlines, and this time, she leveled serious accusations against ABC. In a bombshell interview given to the Daily Mail recently, the comedy icon and controversial figure had a lot to say about the network.
While pointing fingers at ABC, Barr claimed that the network had allegedly spied on her and used insidious tactics to sabotage her before firing her from the reboot of her hit show, Roseanne. Well, one can’t help but wonder whether Barr’s spying drama is a legitimate grievance or a convenient way to dodge accountability for the racist tweet that cost her the show.

Harvey Weinstein’s defense team is still deliberating whether to put their client on the stand as his trial on rape and criminal sexual charges winds down.
“We’re going to make a game time, more or less, decision,” Arthur Aidala, Weinstein’s attorney, told reporters outside of the courtroom Thursday.
Weinstein did not testify as part of his 2020 trial in New York, nor did he testify in his California case on sexual assault. Aidala noted that the decision to testify is ultimately up to the client, and that one of his partners had spent the majority of Memorial Day weekend prepping Weinstein for possibly taking the stand.
“There is a part of him that is seriously contemplating in a ‘he-said, she-said’ case whether human beings feel obligated to hear the other side of the story,” Aidala said.

The political world just got a dash of reality TV-level chaos, after conservative commentator Candace Owens dipped her hands into the pot. While she was previously sharing her opinion on Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s legal drama, as Owens recently attacked the French President, Emmanuel Macron’s wife Brigitte Macron, things spiraled out of control.

Harvey Weinstein said his side of the story when he appeared on right-wing commentator Candace Owens’ Show recently. In the episode that went live on Tuesday, May 20, the 73-year-old Django producer continued to voice his innocence among the ongoing multiple retrials of criminal s**ual charges.
Though he kept mum about the retrials because of their ongoing nature, Weinstein indeed spoke about how his relationships with friends deteriorated after his conviction and subsequent apprehension.
Nevertheless, the Miramax founder proclaimed that while he had made mistakes in his life, he did not commit those crimes. However, he admitted to having made a move on Gwyneth Paltrow, which landed him with a threatening call from Brad Pitt.

Harvey Weinstein gave his first interview in eight years to conservative podcaster Candace Owens on Tuesday, defending himself over a videoconference link from Rikers Island prison where the disgraced movie mogul is being held as he undergoes retrial for rape and sexual assault.
Wearing a dark suit and crisp white dress shirt, Weinstein reiterated his innocence to Owens, who has recently supported the “Pulp Fiction” producer as he fights multiple charges in a Manhattan courtroom for a second time.
“I just wanted to say that I’m not angry, but I’m angry at the system,” Weinstein said to kick off the 20-minute interview, an unusual move for an inmate in the middle of a criminal trial. “You know, my situation was transactional, you know, looking back at it.”

Disgraced industry mogul Harvey Weinstein called out his celebrity accusers, maintaining his complete innocence in his first-ever prison interview.
In conversation with conservative podcaster Candace Owens, Weinstein, who is being retried for his rape case in Manhattan, gave his first on-camera interview since his initial arrest seven years ago. In the discussion, Weinstein ripped multiple celebrities who accused him, such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd.
A pivotal case at the height of the #MeToo movement, Paltrow accused Weinstein of preying on her while she worked on several of his films, alleging he even invited her into his hotel room and touched her inappropriately while she was in the cast of Emma in 1996. Harvey Weinstein sat down with conservative political commentator Candace Owens for a tell-all interview on-camera from prison, in which the defamed producer maintains his innocence and rebuffs the claims of his Hollywood accusers.
Weinstein opens the interview by claiming he was “wrongfully convicted,” denouncing the fact he was twice found guilty of sexual crimes: First in 2020 of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and third-degree rape, and the second in 2022 of rape. His 2020 conviction was overturned in 2024 because the trial judge allowed testimony based on accusations that were not included in the case, a point Weinstein brings up multiple times, seemingly as evidence to support his innocence. He describes his actions as merely “mistakes” and asserts he has done nothing “illegal.”

The world really saw a nearly united Hollywood during the 2024 United States elections, as nearly all celebrities joined hands to support Kamala Harris for president. Unfortunately, though, all of their endorsements didn’t quite seem to work, because Donald Trump ultimately took the president’s chair. But it didn’t stop there.
Even after his win, some celebrities continued to speak out against the 47th president of the USA, Trump, who now seems to be hitting back at them even harder. This is because the latest reports are now claiming that the president has reportedly ordered “major investigations” into Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, and Oprah Winfrey, among others, simply for supporting Harris!

JoJo Siwa, the multi-talented dancer, singer, and social media influencer, has seen her fair share of public scrutiny. 21-year-old Siwa, who became a household name after appearing on Dance Moms and later building an empire as a YouTube personality and music artist, had her personal life become a frequent subject of media attention.
However, few moments were as intense as when she was forced to step in and defend her ex-boyfriend, Mark Bontempo, against the cruel and often vile online hate in late 2020.
While breakups are often difficult and emotional for anyone, the scrutiny influencers or stars face in the public eye is, at times, a bit too overwhelming. In early 2021, Siwa announced her relationship with Mark Bontempo, a fellow social media personality. She yet again made the headlines when she came out as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Ryan Reynolds isn’t just the guy cracking jokes in superhero suits—he’s also making serious moves in the business world. With a net worth that’s climbed well past $350 million by 2025, Reynolds has shown that he’s just as sharp in boardrooms as he is on screen. While people often focus on his acting roles or red carpet appearances, it’s his business brain that deserves a standing ovation, too.
Even though his personal life has made a few headlines recently, especially with all the chatter around the lawsuit involving his wife, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni, his moves to make money-smart decisions remain rock solid. One of his biggest business wins? His involvement in Mint Mobile. The deal turned heads and wallets, and showed everyone that Reynolds isn’t afraid to think outside the Hollywood box.

Once a beloved children’s entertainer and now a bold LGBTQ+ figure in pop culture. JoJo Siwa has rarely shielded away from her most authentic self, but after a recent flirty stint on Celebrity Big Brother UK, someone is trying to have her last laugh. Siwa’s behavior is reigniting an old feud with political commentator Candace Owens.
As the former teen star is navigating her evolving identity, it is evident that her past comments aimed at Owens are coming back to bite her. Owens’ comment, which JoJo vehemently rejected in the past, is once again taking center stage. Owens took her platform to hit back at the celebrity influencer.
