Egbemawei Dimiyei Sammy is an award-winning Nigerian Screenwriter and Development Executive who has spent over a decade shaping bold, character-driven African stories that connect with audiences and critics alike.
His credits include The Weekend (2024), the AMAA-winning and AMVCA-nominated feature that became the first and only Nigerian film to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
He also wrote AMVCA-nominated titles The Razz Guy and Three Thieves, and his earlier short Las Gidi Vice screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
