Nick Kahan, born in the small town of Fazilka, Punjab, India, hails from the esteemed Kahansingh family, known for their businesses and political ties in the town. Nick's father owned a private finance company, lending support to local farmers and businesses, while his mother served as a nurse. Both parents, now retired, serve as inspirations for the younger generation, particularly in matters of health and fitness.
Nick's early academic years were spent at Army Public School (APS). At 19, he expressed a passion for acting to his parents, but they steered him towards studying computer science. Despite this, Nick pursued his dream, dropping out of a computer institute in his third year to establish a garments manufacturing business.
At 26, Nick moved to the UK to pursue an MBA at Cardiff Metropolitan University. In 2008, he studied financial analysis and valuation at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Nick ventured into the real estate business in Cardiff, demonstrating his entrepreneurial acumen. Successfully managing and growing the business, he made the strategic decision to sell it in 2014, a move that marked the next chapter of his journey as he relocated to London. However, while working in London in November 2016, a severe illness prompted a life-altering decision. In November 2016, he embarked on his acting journey, enrolling in a prestigious weekly acting workshop and simultaneously venturing into screenwriting.
Nick attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2019, interacting with industry luminaries. The onset of 'Covid' disrupted his film career, leading him to concentrate on real estate work. In 2022, an opportunity to study at a renowned acting and drama school in London presented itself, prompting Nick to leave his job in February 2023 to pursue acting full-time.
Nick has acted in several short films, authored four short and one sci-fi feature screenplay, and directed and produced his first short film, 'Success or Failure,' in November 2023. His journey continues as he gears up for his role in an American web series scheduled to shoot in March 2024.
