Alan O'Gorman

Alan O'Gorman is an Irish writer based in Manchester. His debut short film, For You, starred Barry Keoghan (Killing of a Sacred Deer, Dunkirk). It won Best Short Film at the 2017 Kinsale Shark Awards, was nominated for Best Short at the 2018 IFTAs and was awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick in 2019.
His next short film, Christy, was one of Screen Ireland's Focus Shorts for 2019 and was an Official Selection for the Palm Springs ShortFest 2020. He is developing Christy into a feature film with Scott Free Productions and BBC Films, as well as working on an original TV show.
He also writes fiction and in 2018 was the winner of the John O'Connor Short Story Prize.
