Shabir Shrestha

Shabir Shrestha is a well-known name in the Nepali film industry. Mr Shrestha has been in this field for the past 20 years working as a director, writer, producer and lyricist in Nepali movies. He is dedicated towards making movie for the audience. Starting as a young man, along with time and effort, Shrestha has been successful to create many blockbuster movies which are loved by the audience and critics as well. Some of his major projects include the movies Kosle Choryo Mero Man', 'Badha Mayale', 'King Returns', 'Tathastu' 'Kali', 'Ram Pyari', 'Timro Mero Sath' and so on where he worked as a director and script writer. He has already directed more than 10 Nepali feature films. He has devoted his entire life towards improving Nepali Cinema through his contributions. He is now spending majority of him time in managing Kites Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, and working tirelessly to provide what the audience are demanding. Lately, he is also into filming documentaries in collaboration with INGOs which conveys the message of Human rights, peace, equality and education for all.

Shabir made his directorial debut with a path-breaking love story 'Kasle Choryo Mero Man'. Even though, it was his first of many, he was working with Nepal's biggest film production house, along with a significant star cast. The movie was successful to collect major awards and break many boxes office records. The film was praised by both critics and audiences and it still remains one of the best love story movies in Nepali film industry.
