Image
Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and John Eastman were among 18 co-defendants indicted by an Arizona grand jury Wednesday on charges stemming from their attempts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results by nominating fake electors.

The indictment capped off a year-long investigation spearheaded by Arizona Attorney General Kristin Mayes (D). Wednesday’s filing lists 11 named defendants and seven redacted defendants who are charged with six counts of forgery, one count of conspiracy, one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, and one count of fraudulent schemes and practices.

The filing redacted the...

Why Did Trump Lose His ‘Billion Dollar Lawyer’?
Image
Last month, when Donald Trump parted ways with “Billion Dollar Lawyer” Drew Findling as his lead criminal defense attorney in the Fulton County, Georgia, case, the decision was then met with surprise and dismay, including among some of Trump’s closest advisers and lawyers.

At first, the reasons behind the departure were opaque, with several high-ranking members of Team Trump asking one another why the ex-president would ditch someone who was internally viewed as perhaps Trump’s single most competent attorney. Findling was in the middle of leading the legal...

Ex-White House Aide Says Rudy Giuliani Groped Her On Jan. 6
Image
Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson alleges Rudy Giuliani groped her while they waited backstage during Donald Trump’s speech at the Ellipse on Jan. 6, 2021.

Hutchinson, who worked in the White House as an assistant to former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, was a key witness in the Jan. 6 Committee’s investigation into the events of Jan. 6.

According to a review by The Guardian, in her upcoming book — titled Enough — Hutchinson delves into further detail regarding her personal experiences on Jan. 6, including a disturbing interaction with Trump’s former attorney.

‘We Did Nothing Wrong,’ Claims Architect of Plan to Overturn Democratic Process
Image
John Eastman, one of the legal minds behind Donald Trump’s scheme to overturn the 2020 election, said he and his co-defendants in the Georgia indictment “did nothing wrong” during a Fox News interview that aired Tuesday.

“We did nothing wrong. We were challenging the election for what even Vice President [Mike] Pence described as serious allegations of fraud and numerous instances of officials violating state law,” Eastman told host Laura Ingraham. “And if we can’t speak out about that, then our freedom of speech, our right to petition the government...

Trump Arrested for Fourth Time in Five Months
Image
Donald Trump has been arrested yet again.

The former president surrendered to authorities in Georgia on Thursday, less than two weeks after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis indicted him and 18 allies on charges related to their effort to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election results.

Trump arrived at the Fulton County jail around 7:30 p.m. after flying into Atlanta from New Jersey. He will reportedly have his mugshot taken as part of his processing. The former president is listed as having “blond or strawberry” hair, standing at 6’3,” and...

Trump’s Allies Prepare for Indictments in Georgia Probe: ‘They’re Coming for Everyone’
Image
Donald Trump may be in trouble in Fulton County, Georgia. But unlike the recent indictment of him in a federal court in Washington, DC, he may not be alone.

Three sources who have spoken with prosecutors tell Rolling Stone that they believe that Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis is likely to indict not just Trump, but a number of his associates involved in attempting to overturn the election, as well.

“It really seems like they’re coming for everyone,” says one lawyer who has repeatedly dealt with the prosecutors in this criminal probe.

Trump Subpoena ‘Possible’ in Georgia Election Meddling Probe, Da Says
Image
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis revealed on Wednesday that she would not rule out subpoenaing former President Donald Trump in her office’s investigation into 2020 election meddling in Georgia, NBC News reported on Wednesday. Willis also told NBC that she expects to issue additional subpoenas to other allies to the former president.

“We’ll just have to see where the investigation leads us,” Willis said. “I think that people thought that we came into this as some kind of game. This is not a game at all. What I am doing is very serious.

Rudy Giuliani, Lindsey Graham Subpoenaed in Trump Election Meddling Probe
Image
The Fulton County grand jury investigating Donald Trump’s alleged meddling in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election has slapped a bevy of subpoenas on several figures tied to the former president, including Rudy Giuliani and Lindsey Graham.

John Eastman, Cleta Mitchell, Kenneth Chesbro, and Jenna Ellis — all of which were involved in Trump’s scheme to overturn the election results — also received subpoenas. So too did Sen. Lindsey Graham, as well as Jacki Pick Deason, a right-wing attorney and podcast host.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution notes that Giuliani testified before Georgia lawmakers three times following the 2020 election,...

GOP Rep. Asked for Trump to Pardon All 147 Republicans Who Voted to Overturn Election
Image
The Jan. 6 committee displayed a bombshell email on Thursday revealing that Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) emailed the White House five days after the attack on the Capitol asking for a pardon for himself and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-fl), as well as “every Congressman and Senator who voted to reject the electoral college vote submissions of Arizona and Pennsylvania.”

The blanket pardon would have preemptively exonerated the 147 Republicans who voted against the certification of President Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory in the event that wrongdoing was discovered in subsequent investigations.

Sen. Ron Johnson Wanted to Hand Deliver Fake Electors to Pence on Jan. 6
Image
The Jan. 6 committee revealed on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump was “directly” involved in the illegal campaign to fabricate phony slates of electors in key swing states. So too was Rudy Giuliani. So too was John Eastman, who wrote the “coup memo” instructing former Vice President Mike Pence to stop the certification of the Electoral College. So too, apparently, was Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) — so much so that he wanted to subvert the will of his state’s own voters and hand-deliver fraudulent Wisconsin electors to Pence on Jan.

Donald Trump had a “direct and personal” role in the effort to pressure states to overturn their election results, Jan. 6 Committee Vice Chair Liz Cheney said Tuesday. Exclusive: Trump’s Team Setting Up Eastman to Take Blame for Jan. 6
Image
With the Justice Department and Jan. 6 committee taking a close look at Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, he and his cronies could certainly use a fall guy, and it looks like they’ve found their patsy: right-wing lawyer John Eastman.

Eastman worked for Trump as the attorney devised legal strategies to overturn the election to keep the outgoing president in power. But, in recent weeks, Trump has confided to those close to him that he sees no reason to publicly defend Eastman, two people familiar with the matter tell Rolling Stone.
